I'm currently going through our wait list to fill toddler spaces for September. If you know you would like a spot in the toddler program (18 months to 2 1/2 years) and I haven't reached out to you yet, please email [email protected] to let me know you are still interested ☺️

Good morning

The power is currently out at the centre, but restoration time says 7:00. We are having the staff come in as usual for 7:09 but we will not be able to have children in until the power is back.

Doing it this way we will be able to open the doors as soon as it comes back on without having to wait for our staff to get in.

So please note whether the power is back yet when you are planning to come in, the doors will be unlocked as soon as it is restored 🙂

We are closing now for the day. Our power went off at 8:00am and is not estimated to be back until 4:15

Many of our staff travel in from Hants County so we use those conditions as a guide and many roads haven’t been plowed. As well, power is out most places around the centre and we don’t want to have our staff on the roads in this only for our power to go out as well.

HRCE schools are cancelled today so please remember we automatically delay opening until 9:00 when that happens. This is to give us time to evaluate our situation, and we will further update if needed by 8:00

I’ve been keeping an eye on the radar and while it’s been saying all day it’s going to end at 4:00, it’s now changing to later. So we are going to be closing at 3:00 today

Again thank you for being patient as we figure this all out, there is never the right choice only the best choice 😫

We don’t do this often but we will be closed for today due to weather

The timing of this one would have our staff commuting at the height of the snow, and the blowing snow into the late afternoon will also cause issues for the commute home.

It’s hard to know the right thing to do with our odd weather patterns in NS, but looking at forecasts and chatting with a meteorologist with Environment Canada has led us to this decision.

We have decided to remain closed for the day. With buses off the road until 10 and staff coming from all over HRM and Hants County, there are massive differences in how likely it is people will be plowed out and able to make it in before lunch. It is truly not practical to open that late in the day. Thank you for understanding! ❄️🌨️
