On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation—also known as Orange Shirt Day—we pause to honour the experiences and resilience of Indigenous peoples, and remember the children impacted by residential schools. As BC’s Indigenous public post-secondary institution, NVIT stands in solidarity with our communities, acknowledging the truths of our shared history and the ongoing journey toward healing.

Today, we encourage everyone to listen, learn, and take meaningful steps toward reconcili-action. Reconciliation is not just a word—it’s our promise to foster understanding, respect, and justice within our campus and beyond.

Let’s walk together, supporting one another and ensuring every voice is heard, valued, and uplifted. 🧡
