It has been a few weeks since I’ve been to see these big beautiful horses as myself and my husband have been down and out with the flu. 🤧 I sure do miss them! The farm is my happy place!

Horses bring such calmness to my day. It still amazes me how such big beauties can offer their full trust in me and choose to spend time with me when they are built to flee, as they are prey animals.

Today’s profile is for Bella!!

Bella is a Canadian cross mare who is estimated to be about 12 years old in 2023. She is 14.3 hands high and is very dark brown on her body, with black legs, mane and tail.

She has had several foals and has a “mama” belly which we hope to trim up over time. In fact, she did not have a name so when she left the Amish and came to our friend’s place, they started calling her Mama. When I got her in August, 2023, it was decided to call her Bella.

She is beautiful in looks and in nature so the name suits her very well. She is very smart and anxious to please. She is fitting in with the others very well. She also has learned to love the treats.

Bella just has this calm nature about her and she is so loved!
