I know the struggles of being overweight. I have been classified as this all my life. I hated myself. I hated my life. I left that city and relationship behind.
I grew up with the negative mind set that I will never weigh less and that I was not capable of finding happiness within myself. This lack of self-love and knowledge of health and fitness lead me to believe that in order to be "skinny" I would have to starve myself. This lead to a constant cycle of starving myself only to inevitably binge. This only became worse once I graduated from high school in
2012.I was stuck in a city where I knew no one, as well as in a destructive relationship. I remember eating pints of ice cream while watching TV and eating out almost every meal of the day. Over the next year I continued to gain weight: only to hit 270lbs on the scale. Finally, I decided I needed to make a change. I have to say, I didn’t have a clue where to start on my health and fitness journey. I found a job and started losing weight just from straying away from my sedentary lifestyle. I am thankful that I was able to meet my boyfriend only a few months after leaving school who taught me how to train, eat to nourish my body, and learn to love myself. This is something I have never had before. If I didn’t meet him I don’t know where I would be today. I am still not completed my fitness journey, but I don’t think I ever will. I will always be striving to be better than I was yesterday. This is my lifestyle. How did this lead to me wanting to become a personal training? Like I said, if I didn’t meet my boyfriend I would still be stuck in that continuous cycle. I want to be that person for you. Support and balance are the keys to a successful fitness journey. Without them, we tend to fall back into old routines. I will be here to motivate, educate, and inspire you throughout your fitness journey. I want you to fall in love with yourself.
