Today some of our classes had a presentation on “I Speak Doggie”. The SPCA came into our environment and talked about the importance on reading a dogs body language. Providing a interactive presentation to help our friends understand how and when to approach a dog.
Every year we fundraise for the SPCA. Why? Because they give back to the community and are dedicated to educating our community on the humane care of companion animals.
The SPCA is always in need of supplies such as:
Bleach
Toilet paper
Paper towel
Gloves
Dog and cat food
Dish soap
Old towels
And the list goes on.

📚🌿 Learning Story: From Storytime to Sensory Play 🌿📚
Today, we began our experience by gathering together for storytime. The children listened as we read a nature-inspired book, exploring animals, their habitats, and the world around them. The children showed great interest, watching closely, pointing to pictures, and engaging with the story.
After reading, we extended the children’s learning through a hands-on sensory experience. The tuff tray was thoughtfully set up with natural materials such as rocks, logs, pinecones, sand, and small animal figures—bringing the story to life in a meaningful way.
The children eagerly explored the tray, using their senses to feel different textures and their imaginations to recreate parts of the story. Many children used the animals to build habitats, move through the “environment,” and create their own little stories inspired by what we had read.
We observed strong social connections as the children shared materials, played side by side, and engaged with one another. They also demonstrated growing fine motor skills while picking up and placing small objects, as well as problem-solving skills as they explored how to arrange their play.
