Booster mode install time đź‘Š
Today I am installing the Britax Grow With You ClickTight in high back booster mode, and a lot of what I cover here actually applies to MOST combination seats used as boosters. So even if this is not your exact seat, this one is still worth the watch âś…

Let’s do a handy dandy forward facing install on the Britax Grow With You ClickTight.
This is another seat from Bumbleboo!
Forward facing harnessed mode stats:
• 25 to 65 lbs
• 34 to 49 inches
• Minimum 2 years old
• Aircraft approved in harnessed mode
• Seat weighs 25 lbs
Important reminders for forward facing:
• Harness straps must come from at or above the shoulders
• The top tether is mandatory every single time
In this video I walk you through opening the ClickTight panel, routing and tightening the belt, attaching the tether, and checking for movement at the belt path for a secure, safe install.

Forward facing the UPPAbaby Rove? Let’s walk through how to get a proper install. Just installed the UPPAbaby Rove rear facing in my 2024 GMC Terrain and WOW this was a super easy install 🙌 This video walks through the full step by step (about 4 minutes!) in partnership with . A few things I really appreciated during the install: ✨ Clearly labeled belt paths - no second guessing where anything goes ✨ Easy to read bubble recline indicator ✨ The lock off door that makes a seatbelt install super secure ✨ And the multi directional tether, which adds an extra layer of safety for rear facing installs 💪 Plus, a reminder that the Rove can be used rear facing from 14 to 50 lbs and up to 49 inches, making extended rear facing totally doable ✔️Stay tuned - forward facing installation video coming soon!

RF 14–50lbs. • FF 30–65lbs • 49 inch height limit • ~27lbs with anti-rebound bar • $680 + GST • Airplane certified • Mid-sized but too big for small backseats • Not always tech-recommended due to difficult installs. Just talked about this on instagram stories, but I wanted to put it here too.
This study was published in 2025 and looked at 1,005 children/child seats — so definitely not a small sample.
Swipe through these… I think you’ll be surprised.
I’m sharing this not to scare anyone, but to show why I do what I do. These numbers highlight how easy it is to miss something, and why taking the time — and yes, sometimes spending a small amount of money to work with someone trained — truly matters.
I pay professionals for their time, work, and expertise…

Installing the Mesa V2 base with a seatbelt? Here’s a quick walkthrough to make it simple, safe, and secure ✔️ The seatbelt installation is a great option when your vehicle doesn’t have lower anchors available, or if you simply get a tighter install this way! With the right steps, it’s just as safe as using the anchors. Remember: every vehicle and every install is a little different. Always double-check your recline, test for movement at the belt path, and refer to your manual if something doesn’t look quite right. Let’s talk about second-hand car seats… PART TWO
What do you do with your car seat when you’re done using it? If selling it second-hand isn’t recommended… then what?
• If the seat is not expired and you know for a fact it was used exactly as instructed—no accidents, no missing parts, cleaned correctly—then you can pass it along to someone you personally know and trust. Their child’s safety depends on how you cared for that seat.
• Expired or not, you can contact a local CPST and ask if they accept seats for training. New techs get certified by practicing on donated seats.
• If the seat is expired, make it unusable (cut the straps, remove padding, etc.) and dispose of it in the garbage.
I get it. We all love selling our baby gear second-hand to make a bit of money back. Car seats are the exception. Safety has to come first.

Let’s talk about second-hand car seats.
Car seats are expensive, and for a lot of families they’re a major purchase. A pre-owned seat is always better than no seat at all, and there are things you can check to make sure you’re choosing the safest used option possible.
That said, there’s always risk with second-hand seats. You don’t always know the history—accidents, missing parts, improper cleaning, seats from other countries, or even counterfeits.
The seats in the first photo are from Facebook Marketplace. At first glance they look like great deals on higher-end models. The reality is I will always choose a more affordable new car seat over a “premium” used one.
The second photo shows brand-new seats that cost less than the used ones. Safer choice, better value, every time.
