As another incredible school year comes to a close, our hearts are full of gratitude and wonderful memories from our final week at Elm Street School! ❤️

What a fantastic way to celebrate the end of the year! Students enjoyed exciting trolley rides, fun-filled trips to the library, special classroom activities, and we proudly celebrated our amazing Kindergarten graduates as they took their first big step toward Grade 1. 🎓📚🚋

This week also brought some bittersweet moments as we said goodbye to two very special members of our Elm Street family. Thank you, Mr. Wood and Miss O., for the kindness, laughter, dedication, and positive impact you've had on our students, staff, and school community. You have each left a lasting mark on Elm Street School, and while you will be greatly missed, we wish you all the very best in your next adventures.

We're also sending lots of love and best wishes to Mrs. MacNeil as she begins her maternity leave. We are so excited for this wonderful new chapter in her life and can't wait to meet the newest little member of the Elm Street family! 💕👶

Thank you to our incredible students, families, and staff for making this school year one to remember. We hope everyone has a safe, relaxing, and fun-filled summer. Thank you for another wonderful year of learning, laughter, and growing together. We can't wait to welcome everyone back in the fall!

🔬🧪 Grade 6 Adventure! 🧪🔬

Our Grade 6 students had an incredible day exploring the wonders of science at the TELUS Spark Science Centre in Calgary!

Throughout the day, students engaged in hands-on exhibits, interactive activities, and exciting demonstrations that encouraged curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. From exploring technology and engineering to discovering the amazing world of science, there was something new to learn around every corner.

We are so proud of how our students represented our school by demonstrating enthusiasm, respect, and excellent behaviour throughout the trip.

Thank you to our staff, volunteers, and families for their support. A special thank you to our Parent Council for bringing new ideas forward and making this trip possible!

🌱🍕 Garden Club Celebration! 🍰🌱

Our Garden Club members have been working so hard this year planting, watering, weeding, and caring for our garden. To celebrate all of their hard work, we enjoyed a special pizza party together!

A huge thank you to Asher's mom for the beautiful and delicious cake from Serotonin Sweets. It was the perfect way to celebrate our amazing gardeners and all they have accomplished.

We are so proud of the teamwork, responsibility, and enthusiasm our students have shown throughout the season. We can't wait to watch our garden continue to grow!

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Over the last two days, our Grade 4–6 students had an incredible time competing at the City Track Meet!

We are so proud of all of our athletes for their hard work, determination, and excellent sportsmanship. Whether they were running, jumping, or throwing, every student represented our school with pride and gave their best effort.

A huge thank you to our coaches, staff, volunteers, and families for their support and encouragement throughout the season and at the meet.

Congratulations to all of our participants on a fantastic track season—we are so proud of you! 🏅👏

Today we were proud to celebrate David O’Connor on being recognized as a recipient of the Chief Earl Leadership Legacy Foundation Scholarship!

Since the Foundation’s inception in 2008, 275 students have been awarded this prestigious scholarship, with 22 additional students being recognized this year.

Recipients are nominated by their schools based on their demonstration of the four core values of the Medicine Hat Police Service, with an added emphasis on leadership and citizenship. David exemplifies these qualities each day through his positive attitude, respect for others, commitment to helping those around him, and leadership within our school community.

We are incredibly proud of David and this well-deserved achievement and representing our school with such excellence.

A special thank you to the Chief Earl Leadership Legacy Foundation and the Medicine Hat Police Service for recognizing and encouraging the outstanding young leaders in our community!

🤪🎉 Today was Crazy Hair Day at Elm Street School!

Our students and staff came to school with some wild, wacky, creative, and colourful hairstyles! From towering styles and bright colours to imaginative designs, everyone showed off their school spirit and creativity.

It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and unique looks throughout the halls. Thank you to our families for helping make Spirit Week so much fun!

We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings! 🎈

☀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Today we had an amazing Fun Field Sports Day at Elm Street School!

Students enjoyed a variety of exciting games, activities, and challenges throughout the day while demonstrating outstanding teamwork, sportsmanship, and school spirit.

A HUGE thank you goes to our Grade 6 leaders, who did an incredible job organizing stations, encouraging younger students, and helping the day run smoothly. Your leadership, responsibility, and enthusiasm made a big difference and helped create a fun experience for everyone!

To top off a fantastic day, students cooled down with some water fun at the end of the afternoon. There were plenty of laughs, splashes, and smiles as everyone enjoyed a refreshing way to wrap up the day.

🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️ Spirit Week is off to a SUPER start at Elm Street School!

Today, our hallways were filled with heroes of all kinds as students and staff showed off their amazing Super Hero spirit. From capes and masks to favorite comic book characters, everyone looked ready to save the day!

Thank you to all our families for helping make Spirit Week so much fun. We can't wait to see what the rest of the week has in store!
