We have been excitedly watching the big construction project progress since it began June 1st! Today the first four modular classrooms rolled in!
We are SO grateful for all those working hard to be sure these spaces are ready for our staff and students. ๐

We are looking forward to having Mr. Henderson join our growing team! We know he will be a great addition to the DKS school community.
Weโre pleased to welcome Bryce Henderson as Vice Principal at Dr. Ken Sauer Fine Arts School beginning in the 2026โ2027 school year.
Bryce brings more than 10 years of teaching experience with MHPSD, along with a strong background as both an instructional leader and coach. His ability to build positive team cultures and support student growth will be a great addition to the school community.

We say farewell to Kindergarten Wed. June 24th at 11:40โ๏ธ and to Grades 1-6 on Thurs. June 25th at 12:00 โ๏ธ We wish all of our students a happy and safe summer full of sunshine and fun!
Last day of classes is Thursday, June 25 for students in MHPSD and schools will dismiss early. Please check with your childโs school for specific bell times and bus schedules.

Thank you to Ms McWilliams for the fun Field Day activities and to Parent Council for sponsoring our BBQ lunch and freezies! We appreciate all of our staff and family volunteers for their help today. It was a beautiful June afternoon playing together. ๐ (But who invited the mosquitoes?!)

We are grateful to the MHPSD FNMI team for sharing their morning with us! All of our classes were able to enjoy Indigenous games outside in the sunshine together in celebration of National Indigenous Peoples Day coming up on Sunday, June 21.

Our Grade 4 crew is on their way home from their epic Drumheller trip! ๐ฆ
We have some big thank-yous to share:
1) We know our students and families join us in thanking Ms. Hall and Mr. Walker for volunteering their time and for the adventurousness required to make this field trip happen for our grade four learners!
2) Our amazing Parent Council and the families who support the fundraising efforts are absolutely crucial to this experience. Without these funds, the trip cannot happen. (2026-27 Grade 4 parents, watch for an announcement in the coming days about how you can help get fundraising started for your childโs trip next year!)
3) Thank you to our many family volunteers and our awesome students. Because of you, the trip is fun, safe, educational, and memorable!

Our parent community and our Parent Council teamed up at our Gala to host a mega bake sale and an epic basket raffle!
The bake sale raised $1309! All of this will help fund fine arts experiences for our students. ๐จ ๐ต ๐ญ
The raffle raised $869 and this will pay for our playground slide repair! ๐
