Students in Mrs Kurpjuweit’s class built a geared fan and calculated whether their gear train provided a speed of force(torque) advantage. They linked this learning to gears when riding a bike up hill.

It's time to celebrate our High School Athletes! Thursday, May 30th @ 6:00 pm we will be holding a banquet and awards ceremony for all High School athletes at CHHS. Parents, if you would like to join us tickets are available for $25. Athletes, your ticket is part of your team fees so if you've paid those, you're welcome to join for free! Today grade 8 & 9 students in Ms. Kolosetti’s Travel & Tourism class explored Medicine Hat while learning about the tourism industry. Special thanks to the wonderful Jace Anderson, Executive Director of Tourism in Medicine Hat, who led the tour. Also, a special shoutout to Joe for driving us around in the “Rainshine” trolley!

Amanda Mcgarry began her career in the Foothills School Division after graduating from the University of Alberta. Amanda made a move back to Medicine Hat in 2015, to assume a teaching position at Alexandra Middle School. Amanda moved into a Vice Principal role at AMS for a year and then transferred to Wilson Learning Centre as a Vice Principal and has remained there for the past four years.
Amanda has a passion for coaching in various sports, providing extracurricular opportunities for students as well as supporting students in fostering critical thinking and communication skills.
Amanda will assume the Vice Principal role at CHHS in the fall of 2024-2025 school year. Please join us in congratulating and welcoming Amanda to CHHS!
