One of the things we love most about Miss Emily is the way she connects with the children through music, movement, and play! Miss Emily is always singing songs, playing her guitar while the children dance around her, or sitting alongside them as they explore and learn, she brings so much joy and engagement to their day!

⭐️☀️Feature Friday: Miss Brae☀️ ⭐️

Miss Brae has such a calm, welcoming presence in the classroom and it is something both the children and families notice right away. She has a natural way of making our littlest Owls feel safe, comfortable, and cared for from the moment they walk through the door.

One of the most special things to see is the bond she forms with the children. Whether she is sitting with them at the table baking or doing fun activities together, exploring alongside them during play, or offering a quiet moment of comfort, Miss Brae approaches each and every child with patience, kindness, and genuine care.

Parents often share how meaningful it is to know their child feels happy and secure with Brae caring for them. Seeing children run to greet their her in the morning is one of the best feelings, and Miss Brae helps create that sense of trust and connection every day.

We feel so lucky to have her as part of the Little Owl team and to see the love and dedication she brings to the children in her care.

⭐️Feature Friday - Miss Justine⭐️

This week’s Feature Friday is for one of the hearts behind Little Owl, our co-owner & founder, Miss Justine!

Justine isn’t just an owner, she’s someone who pours her whole heart into everything Little Owl has become. From dreaming up spaces where children feel safe, curious, and excited to learn, to being right there on the floor with the kids and supporting our educators and program behind the scenes, she leads with both vision and heart.

She has an incredible ability to see what Little Owl can become before it exists. Justine has a natural way of looking ahead and guiding our centre forward, always keeping what’s best for our children and families at the heart of it. She spends countless hours planning for the future and making sure each and every student is supported in the best way possible. Her vision isn’t just about growth, it’s about building something meaningful that truly serves our community.

What so many people don’t see is the time she pours in outside of the centre. Late nights planning, restaging spaces, working to strengthen our programs, and supporting our team. Little Owl didn’t just happen, it was built with intention, creativity, and a whole lot of love.

Justine has an incredible way of making people feel supported and believed in. She leads with kindness, compassion, and understanding, always taking the time to listen and truly care about the people around her. She has helped create a space that truly feels like a home away from home, a place where children feel safe, families feel welcomed, and educators feel supported. Her passion for early childhood education shows in every detail of our program and in the environment she’s helped create for all our Little Owls to learn, grow, and thrive.

Little Owl wouldn’t be what it is today without her heart, dedication, and vision. We are so grateful for everything she pours into our community at Little Owl.

Feature Friday: Casey 🦔💛

Casey has been with our Hedgehogs since the day she started, so it only made sense that we started calling her Casey and the Hedgehogs. Think Alvin and the Chipmunks, but with a classroom full of little ones who absolutely adore her. 😅

She brings such a calm, happy energy into the room. Casey is always singing, always right down in the play with the kids, and always taking the time to really get to know each child and what makes them who they are. She’s incredibly patient and has a natural way of helping the children work through their problems, build confidence, and feel safe and understood.

She’s creative, fun, and just genuinely loves being with the kids. We’re so glad she’s part of our team and that our Hedgehogs get to have her guiding their days. 💛

This week we’re celebrating a very special person on our team, Miss Maddie. She brings such a bright, caring energy into Little Owl, and the children feel that the moment they’re with her. We’re so grateful to have her as part of our centre and our Little Owl community.

Maddie has such a natural way of connecting with children and really getting to know each of them as the unique people they are. Whether she’s sitting with them one on one, joining in their play, or bringing fun and creativity into the room, her presence makes such a difference in their days.

She brings so much warmth, joy, and heart the classroom she works in. We are so happy to have such an amazing teacher who shows up so genuinely for the children every day.
