Dear Vincent Massey Families,

We are excited to share some wonderful news with you! This coming school year, we will be welcoming Max, a service dog in training from Bright Path Service Dogs, to our school to work alongside our new FSLW, Kallyn. This is a unique and enriching opportunity for our students, staff, and school community.

Therapy and service dogs have been shown to support emotional well-being, reduce stress and anxiety, and contribute positively to a calm and supportive learning environment. As this dog continues his training, he will be gradually integrated into appropriate school settings under Kallyn’s close supervision.

Please know that the safety and comfort of all students and staff remain our top priority. All necessary precautions will be taken to ensure that the presence of the service dog is a positive experience for everyone.

If you have any questions, concerns, or would like to discuss this further, please reach out to the office in September.

We look forward to the joy and support this dog will bring to our school community and appreciate your continued support!

Thank you to everyone who helped make our APPLE Schools Family Event a success! It was a wonderful evening focused on mental health, nutrition, and physical activity.

A big thank you to our Vincent Massey staff and student leaders for helping everything run smoothly. We also appreciate HUG for providing the Buddha Boards, Abby from the MHC Rattlers for leading soccer, Alicia for hosting yoga, and Millie’s Soda for serving delicious drinks throughout the evening.

Most importantly, thank you to all the families who joined us. It was a fantastic way to celebrate wellness, connect as a community, and wrap up another great school year!

What a great way to wrap up an amazing Jays Care Baseball season!

Last week our athletes took on their parents, teachers and family members in a fun-filled Athletes vs. Parents game, and there were plenty of laughs, great plays, and unforgettable memories. Thank you to all the families who came out to support our players and celebrate a fantastic season of growth, teamwork, and fun. ⚾️

Mr. McIntosh started his career in Edmonton Public from 1996 – 2001. Then, 25 years with Medicine Hat Public: MHHS from 2001 – 2005 and
20 YEARS AT VINCENT MASSEY - 2005 to 2026!

It is difficult to find words for your positive impact, contribution, the difference you have made, and how much you will be missed here at Vincent Massey.

We wish you all the best in early retirement and thank you for the positive legacy you leave behind in the lives of many, many students and all of your colleagues over the years here at Vincent Massey School.

Congratulations to our very own, Finley Anderson (Grade 6) who is this year’s Vincent Massey recipient of the Chief Gord Earl Award! 👏🏼💛🥳😊👍🏼

The Chief Gord Earl Leadership Legacy Fund is an annual scholarship award presented by the Medicine Hat Police Service to local Grade 6 students who best exemplify the four core values of the MHPS—integrity, respect, courage, and accountability—while displaying exceptional leadership and citizenship.

What a great day for baseball!

Our Vincent Massey Jays Care Club had the opportunity to participate in the Jays Care Foundation baseball event hosted by Elm Street School today. Our students represented Vincent Massey with pride, demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive attitudes throughout the day. They were excellent ambassadors for our school community!

A special thank you goes to Mr. McIntosh, Ms. Henschke, and Mrs. Anderson for their dedication to coaching our baseball club this season and for accompanying students to today's event. We appreciate the time and energy they invest in creating these meaningful opportunities for our students.
