Fieldtrip adventures!!🦎❤️

This week, our Junior Kinders got to head over to Chaotic Xotics and explore and learn about different reptiles, bugs, and other creatures🐢😁

First, the children were given the opportunity to explore the store. They loved being able to take a peek at all they have to offer, including the animals. They especially LOVED the tortoise, lizards, and the frogs! 🐸 💚

Then, the children were able to have a super fun hands-on experience where they could pet, or hold different reptiles!! We got to interact with a turtle, lizards, and a couple snakes. Some friends even got to have one of the snakes on their neck. They were so brave!!🐍🤩

This experience was so engaging and fun for all of the children, and we are so happy that they got to have this experience☺️❤️

🦋🐞 A Week of Insect Adventures! 🐛🕷️

The Playing Pals class had so much fun exploring the wonderful world of insects this week! We learned all about the life cycle of a caterpillar and how they eat lots of leaves before eventually transforming into beautiful butterflies. 🐛➡️🦋

We got creative during art time and made our very own critters, while also reading books and learning fun facts about all kinds of bugs! 📚🎨

We spent lots of time outdoors searching for insects around our playground and even used nets to carefully capture and observe some of the little creatures we found. 🔍🪲

It was a busy week full of exploring, discovering, creating, and learning about the tiny creatures all around us!

Field-trip fun!☀️🩵😁

This week the jr kinders got to enjoy another fun and exciting field trip. This time we got to go to panorama lanes!!🤩🤩

We had the pleasure of taking a nice walk over to the panorama, which the children really enjoyed. They loved pointing out different vehicles and other things that they spotted along our journey!🚓🌳🌷

Once we got there, the fun and excitement truly began. The children had so much fun exploring all the different parts of the play place and playing with their friends. Their favorite parts were the slides and the ball pit!🛝🎉😊

We’re so lucky that we can give the children these experiences where they can create all of these fun memories and experience new and exciting things!!☀️😎🌻

☀️A Week of Summer Weather in Playing Pals ⛈️

This week in Playing Pals, we had lots of fun learning about the different types of weather we experience during summertime☀️

We talked about the heat and light from the sun and learned about the importance of sun safety and protection, including wearing hats and sunscreen. 🧢🧴

During circle time, we also explored the sights and sounds of thunderstorms ⛈️ 🌈 Our learning continued through a variety of activities focused on process art, colour recognition, and fine motor skills.

And, of course, we made sure to spend lots of time outside enjoying the beautiful summer weather together! ☀️

What a wonderful field trip our Junior Kindergarten students enjoyed this week!
Today we visited Medalta Potteries and had so much fun while learning! 🏺🧱💛

We started the field trip with an educational tour of the building. Getting to walk inside an old brick kiln and then see one of the old machines working was so exciting! 🧱

Next came some hands on learning as they were taught how to work with clay. They loved squishing, rolling, and shaping the clay into their own bowls and stamped creations. It was a fun sensory experience that sparked lots of creativity!

Last week in playing pals we based our play on the theme travel 🧳 🚗
The children enjoyed our many travel themes stations such has
-Zoo themed play-Doh manipulatives 🐻🦒
- Airbplane rice sensory bin ✈️
- Little Italy pretend pizza making station 🍕
-Carwash water table 💦🚙

The children also participate in many travel theme crafts such as
- Passports 🎫
-Suitcase and cloths 🧳
-Airplanes✈️
- RV’s
- Trains🚂

Playing pals then ended our last week of Julys with some water play and walk down the street to Connaught School play ground!

Field trip fun! 🦋🐜

This week our Jr. Kinders had an exciting field trip to Police Point Park! Where we got to participate in a Bug Safari! 🐞 🐛

The children were so excited as soon as we hopped on the trolley to the park. Once we arrived they had the chance to share their bug knowledge by identifying different insects from pictures.

Their favourite part was getting magnifying glasses to explore with! We went on a guided tour where they searched high and low for bugs throughout the park. (We discovered lots of ants, beetles, and butterflies) 🔍

To end our field trip we took a moment for the children to draw their favourite bug of the day! 🪲🐜

It was a day filled with curiosity, hands-on learning, and big smiles. We can't wait to see where our next adventure takes us! 💚✨
