Imagination Library—Medicine Hat

While it saddens us to say this, at this time Medicine Hat's Imagination Library is in jeopardy of ceasing delivery of books due to lack of funds.

Thank you to the Sunrise Rotary Club for their ongoing support of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library!!! This is the Sunrise Clubs second donation in as many years!

This donation will help to provide 540 books for kids aged 0-5 in the Medicine Hat area!

the MH Affiliate of the Imagination Library is happy, and grateful, to announce that we have just received a $1000.00 donation from the Women of the Moose- Medicine Hat Chapter!

Great news!

Through the generous support of Enbridge ($10,000) and the Medicine Hat Public School Division Education Foundation ($5000) we have secured enough funding to continue to grow the Imagination Library in Medicine Hat. As such, we will begin to accept online registrations and approve all pending registrations.

As of today, the MH affiliate of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library serves 561 children from our community. Please continue to spread the word to parents of children aged 0-5. Also, we ask that you continue to share the value of this program with local organizations you may be associated with!

Fund raising is always ongoing in an effort to get as many books into the hands of children as possible!

At this time, we will be closing online registration. This is unfortunate, however, we must do another round of fundraising before we can take on any new registrations.

We are working to engage with the community in an effort to generate ongoing support for this program.

Dear Imagination Library families,

It is unfortunate, but I must appeal to you to spread the word regarding the Imagination Library's need for funding.

Last year, 20K was raised quickly to get the program off the ground. Since that time, we have had over 600 children register for the program!

While the program is low cost, it does about $43.00 dollars per year per child.

At this current time, there are funds left to continue supporting the children of MH for about 1 more month.

At this time, if you value the Imagination Library, I would ask that you share with businesses, local service organizations (which have been a great support) and individuals that may be able to support. For larger donations, please contact Mike Flieger at [email protected]

Since going live in April, Medicine Hat's Dolly Parton Imagination Library has surpassed 400 MH children/families registered to receive their FREE book each month.

We are very pleased to announce that we now have 350 children in Medicine Hat registered for the Imagination Library! This is incredibly exciting!

We want to ensure that we are able to include all children who want to register. As such, the fundraising for Dolly Parton Library is always ongoing!

Dolly Parton's Imagination library is always offered free to families. With that said, funding is dependent on donations. If you can, please help support this program by sharing this post, or sharing this information with community organizations you may be involved with.

The Imagination Library is a registered charity and can provide donation receipts. 100% of donations go to the cost of purchase of books and mailing them- no portion of donation goes to administration or any other costs.

$43.60 (Canadian dollars) supports 1 child's love of reading for one year.

The first book is the "welcome book" and all families receive the "Little Engine That Could", a great book!
