🎃 Halloween Fun at Sadia’s Happy Home! 👻

I know I’m a little late sharing these pictures, but this year’s Halloween was truly wonderful! 💛
Instead of candy, we played fun little games and had exciting giveaways — the laughter and smiles made it all worth it!

Our day was filled with learning and creativity. We dressed up, danced, and even explored the anatomy of a pumpkin! 🎃🧠 The kids got to look inside the pumpkin, explore its texture, and then take a peek under the microscope — discovering how amazing it looks up close! 🔬

We even compared our hands before and after the sensory pumpkin exploration to see the difference — what a fun science moment! 🧤✨

It was such an incredible day filled with joy, curiosity, and learning. I absolutely love these kiddos — every day they teach me something new. 💕

🌾 October Adventures at Sadia’s Happy Home 🌾

October started with such a blessing! I feel so lucky to have such wonderful daycare children and amazing parents to work with. 💕

We took a fun trip to a nearby farm, and it was an unforgettable experience! The children were absolutely in love — from meeting turkeys, chickens, roosters, ducks, horses, cats, and dogs, to petting our furry friends and learning about how they live. 🐓🐴🐕🐈

I’m so sorry for posting these pictures a little late — right after that weekend, we were hit with a round of sickness, and it took me a while to catch up. Thank you all for your understanding and continuous support.

A big thank you to our wonderful parents Rachael Carbert Tylor Carbert who volunteered and helped during the trip — you guys are truly the best! 💖

Here are a few glimpses of our beautiful day — exploring nature, hiking to a nearby lake, collecting treasures, and making memories that will last a lifetime. 🍂✨

We are so thankful for our amazing children, supportive families, and the trust you place in us to care for your little ones. Every giggle, hug, and curious question reminds us how special our work truly is.

🧡 yesterday we wore orange in honor of Truth and Reconciliation Day.

We take this day to remember and recognize the trauma of residential schools and the lasting impact they have had on generations of Indigenous families and communities.

At my dayhome, I am grateful to see such a diverse and caring group of children coming together, learning, and growing with kindness and respect for each other. 🌿

My hope is that we all continue to learn, reflect, and heal in our own ways — and that together, we can help create a future filled with compassion, understanding, and reconciliation. 🧡

🌟 Exciting News from Sadia’s Happy Home ! 🌟

We are so happy to share that we’ve built a brand-new play shed for the kids! 🎉 This special space will be their mud kitchen, creation station, and so much more—a place full of imagination, creativity, and joy.

I feel so blessed to have had the help of a dear friend Teresa Cairns Stovin and Randy Stovin, who came all the way from Estevan. 🙏 Her incredible skills—from planning to building—turned this dream into a masterpiece. This wouldn’t have been possible without her support. 💕

The shed isn’t fully finished yet—we’ll be adding more sand and flooring soon—but I can already imagine the pure joy of watching the children explore and create in this new space.

✨ Sharing a few sneak-peek glimpses with you all… can’t wait for the kids to enjoy it to the fullest!

Dear Families,

I know I’ve been a little quiet on Facebook lately – the past couple of months have been super busy with renovations! We built a brand-new deck and fence (yes, all by ourselves!), and while it was a lot of work, we’re so happy it’s finally done. Of course, a few things didn’t go exactly as planned (we had a couple of little “disasters” along the way 😅), and we temporarily lost access to our playground.

The good news is the new sod is down, and in just one more week, it should be ready for the kids to run, play, and enjoy again! 🌱✨

Thank you all so much for your patience and cooperation during this time. I know the children have been spending more time indoors than usual, but I promise they’ve still been busy having fun, learning, and making memories. 💛

Excited to share the finished play space with you all very soon!
