The Council of Commissioners and the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board community are deeply saddened by the tragic shooting that took place today in Montreal.

Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, friends, and all those affected by this heartbreaking act of violence. We also extend our gratitude to the first responders and emergency personnel who acted swiftly in a difficult situation.

At times like these, we are reminded of the importance of compassion, support, and coming together as a community. We encourage anyone struggling with today's events to reach out to loved ones or seek support through available resources.

We stand with the Montreal community during this difficult time.
