Have You Logged Your Reading Minutes on Beanstack Yet?

Summer reading is in full swing and there’s still time to join the fun! In addition to what is happening locally at the Martensville Branch, there are also chances to win prizes from the Wheatland Regional Library.

Wheatland Regional Library is using the free Beanstack app for their summer reading challenges and prize draws. There are two summer challenges available:
📚 TD Summer Reading Club Challenge — for children 12 and under
🏆 Wheatland Reading Cup Challenge — for readers of all ages

- Children 12 and under can register for both challenges.
- Readers 13 and older, including adults, can register for the Wheatland Reading Cup Challenge.

How to Participate
Join the summer reading challenges using the free Beanstack app or visit wheatland.beanstack.org.

Create an account if you don’t already have one.
- One login can be used for the whole family. Simply add each family member to the account and select the appropriate challenge for each person.

Log your reading minutes to earn virtual tickets.

Assign your tickets to the prizes you would like a chance to win.
- This is an important step! Tickets must be assigned to prizes to be entered into the prize draws.

Submit your reading minutes by August 30 to earn tickets for the prize draws.

Join us for Storytime in the Park on Thursday, August 20th. Bring along a blanket to sit on and enjoy stories in the park. This takes place in Andrea's Park at the corner of 1st Avenue S & 1 Street S in Martensville. (Kitty coener form the Civic Centre)

In the case of poor weather, the program will be moved to the library program room.

Books & Babies is happening tomorrow, Wednesday, August 19th, at 10:30 AM at the Martensville Library. This program is for babies under 12 months and their caregivers.

Our last I Spy in the Library for the summer is happening this week (Aug 17 - 22). The theme this week is water vehicles.

Kids can find all the pictures and then enter our draw for a gift card to Dollarama.

Great job Martensville patrons. We have exceeded our 400,000 reading minutes goal for 2026! As of August 16th, our participating patrons have logged 481,433 minutes on Beanstack for the Wheatland Reading Cup Challenge.

We are heading into the last two weeks of our summer programming and the reading challenge. Remember to log your minutes on Beanstack before August 30th. If you haven't been logging your minutes on Beanstack, talk to library staff and we will get you started.
