EXPLORING THE WORLD AROUND US❤️
Bird nests! After finding an old birds nest in one of our backyard trees, today we decided to create our own bird nests 🙂
We used clay as our base and then each child collected sticks, grass, rocks and more to add! Some friends even chose to add some colourful feathers!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mamas out there! 😃
These littles made fingerprint necklaces for their mommies, homemade gifts might not always be the prettiest lol but I love crafts/gifts that are 100% made by the kids! Even our littlest ones hand rolled their own beads, once air dried they painted the beads themselves. Small choices like which finger they wanted to use for their fingerprint pendants and which colours they’d paint their beads helps to make them feel accomplished and proud of themselves 🙂 The older kids even helped the little ones to string their beads at the end ❤️

Everyone loves pineapple!😍
This was a fun one to learn about because pineapples are so crazy looking, delicious tasting and as we talk about Danielle’s holiday coming up, “they’re Hawaiian” lol
As I cut up the pineapple for brk, Carlyle quickly ran to grab his play knife and pineapple and came to the table, “look Danielle, I cut pineapple too” lol
Then we did some bubble wrap art, making pineapples :)

As we talk more about spring we talked about gardens and the process of planting seeds and growing plants 🙂 a few of these cuties got a jump start on planting, we planted flowers, tomatoes, “zebra carrots”, watermelons, cucumbers, zucchini and even a pumpkin and we examined each of the seeds and talked about the similarities and difference in each one :)

Marbled Easter eggs!
Each kid added the colours they wanted, then used their “mixing stick” to swirl and mix their colours, then laid their paper down and voila! Then they used the squeegee to remove the extra shaving cream from their pictures 🙂 so many skills put to work with such a beautiful and unique outcome!
