Our Martensville Preschool program, based in Venture Heights Elementary, is a play-based program for 3 and 4 year olds. We strive to provide children the opportunity to learn through a combination of open-ended play times in which many opportunities are presented through everyday materials and learning opportunities. We incorporate daily, weekly and monthly themes that focus on the interests of the children. We work on nurturing a positive self-concept, enhancing social and emotional development, work on fine and gross motor skills as well as encourage and foster the creative process.
We will work on various skills such as numbers, letters, cutting, pasting, colors, shapes, matching, rhyming, opposites, sequencing, patterns, and more!

We are displaying these Métis items to help children learn about and appreciate the diverse cultures that make up our community. The Métis are one of Canada’s Indigenous Peoples, with a rich history, language, and traditions. By including these items in our environment, we encourage curiosity, respect, and understanding from an early age.
