With strategic exercise selection & graded progression you can increase not only strength and fitness but the number of movement options you had.

It’s taken years for me to figure out how to set my knee, hip & back up for success (previous recurring injuries). But it’s given me so many resources to help others do the same in waaaaay less time.

The Fundamentals program was designed to get you started with movement efficiency.

Then from there there are 10+ program options available designed specifically to help prepare you for the unique demands of curling AND prevent injuries.

And my current fave is a custom program that allows me to tailor the exercise subscription to you & your body.

A full summer of training means we can slowly progress from fundamental movements to more complex & dynamic challenges. Every warmup in EP lab preps the body and the mind and can be reused during the season!

Check out the full exercise descriptions in the EP lab 👊

You can practice sweeping ANYWHERE if you’ve got the right tools.

I’m using a Mylar sheet (comes in packs of 14 for just $15. The cover on the head is basically a slippery shower cap but it did come with the hockey slide board I like to use sometimes. The best is honestly an old hair broom … you can even sweep on hardwood (if you’re allowed!)

There’s really no excuse if your goal is better brushing come the fall.

All my programs include progressive off ice brushing drills to help you get stronger, fitter & more confident on the brush.

Comment if you’ve got a fave dryland brushing setup 👇👇

The workshops are back!

Over the past two seasons, I had the opportunity to teach live fitness workshops to curlers across the world. The feedback was incredible and I wanted to make this information available year-round.

I’m excited to announce that these workshops have been re-launched as self pace courses within the world Curling Academy

Available now:
🥌Cardio for Curling (level 1 and 2)
🥌Balance and Power in the Delivery (level 1 and 2)
🥌Better Brushing (level 1 and 2)

whether you missed the live sessions or want to revisit the material, you can now learn anytime anywhere and repeat as many times as you’d like

How’s your off ice brush training going?

This requires a CO-CONTRACTION much like what we need to see when building power in the lower body

•We don’t throw a ball by leading from the elbow
•We don’t kick out of the hack by leading from the knee
•We don’t want to lead upper body exercises from the elbow either

And you guessed it, this means we shouldn’t be SWEEPING by leading from the elbow either.

I’ll be sharing more about how to protect the upper body while sweeping and the strategy mirrors what we want to work on in the lower body.

Learn to stabilize the elbow while the wrist & chest/back muscles do their thing.

Like/follow share to make sure you don’t miss out!

And come hang out and get strong for curling with smart programming in the EP lab!

This is an efficiency tip. Make it more efficient for the force you applied to the ground to travel through your legs through your core through your arms and into the brush.

The obliques on the side of the down arm are WORKING

This side band queue can be really helpful for feeling and seeing that

Try both ways during your next brushing plank session and notice the difference
