Our Maveerar stood for bravery, perseverance, sacrifice, and honour. Our Maveerar fought for our nation, our people, and for our lives. They not only sacrificed their lives, but sacrificed their education, career, family, and their future, all so that the next generation of Eelam Tamils could experience these virtues of life.

The song “Maanam Ondre” highlights the path our Maveerar fearlessly paved for Tamileelam. Our Maveerar left behind their families, their education, and their lives for the struggle. We not only take the month of November, but should take everyday to honour our Maveerar by remembering their honourable sacrifice, the sacrifice that was far beyond death.

The song “Vin Varum Megangal” highlights our Maveerar’s sacrifice, and what it meant for Eelam Tamils. It serves as a reminder of the sacrifices our Maveerar made beyond death. How mothers, fathers, and teenagers all rose and joined the movement. How these mothers, fathers, and teenagers fought for our cause, our land, our people. How despite the high probability of not returning, they continued the fight unto death, sacrificing much more than their life.

It captures their unshaken spirit, vision, and unwavering commitment to their end goal. It speaks to the atrocities they endured and persevered through on the path to their ultimate sacrifice. “Oh Maranitha Verane” serves as a lasting reminder of the sacrifices our Maveerar made beyond death.
