🤩✨ FROM AI PROMPT TO STUNNING SUNCATCHER! ✨🤩
Our students recently took on a creative STEM challenge: designing and creating their own custom suncatchers from start to finish! 🌞🎨
First, students learned how to write effective AI prompts to generate artwork specifically designed for 3D printing. This wasn’t just typing a few words into AI—it required careful thinking about:
🤖 Prompt Engineering Skills
✅ Describing shapes and visual elements clearly
✅ Designing for manufacturability and 3D printing constraints
✅ Creating connected stained-glass style structures
✅ Iterating and refining AI-generated designs
✅ Evaluating and improving results through testing
Once their AI-generated design was ready, students:
🖨️ 3D printed their custom suncatcher frames
🎨 Mixed and applied coloured resin to each section
🧪 Learned safe resin handling techniques
🌈 Explored colour theory and design choices
✨ Watched their creations come to life when sunlight passed through them!
The final results were absolutely amazing 🤩🤩🤩 and looked beautiful hanging in the window, creating a stained-glass effect that students were proud to take home.
This project is part of our Applied STEM Program, where students combine:
💡 Artificial Intelligence
🖨️ 3D Printing
🎨 Design Thinking
🧪 Materials Science
🔧 Engineering & Making
If you’d like your child creating projects like this and learning real-world technology skills while having fun, registration is open for our weekly programs and upcoming STEM camps! 🚀🤩

🚀 FROM AI PROMPT TO REAL-WORLD PRODUCT! 🎨🤖✨
“He Didn’t Just Make a Design… He Learned How to Create with AI.”
This student started with a blank screen and an idea. Using Google Gemini, he learned how to write effective AI prompts to generate artwork that could actually be manufactured using our eufyMake E1. 🧠💡
But the learning didn’t stop there! 👇
🔹 Learned the fundamentals of prompt engineering
🔹 Experimented with AI-generated images and design iterations
🔹 Evaluated what makes a design suitable for production
🔹 Prepared artwork for printing and fabrication
🔹 Set up and operated the eufyMake E1
🔹 Printed his custom design onto wood 🪵
🔹 Created a personalized poker chip 🎲
🔹 Used AI tools to create a raised 3D effect on the poker chip
🔹 Developed problem-solving, creativity, and digital manufacturing skills
The result? A one-of-a-kind creation that started as a prompt and became a real product he could hold in his hands! 🙌🔥
At Envision Robotics, students aren’t just learning technology—they’re learning how to combine AI, design, creativity, and manufacturing to bring their ideas to life. 🌟
🎯 Today’s creators are tomorrow’s innovators.

🛠️🖨️ FROM IDEA TO FUNCTIONAL PRODUCT! 🖨️🛠️
One of the more advanced projects in our 3D Printing Program is designing and building a fully functional chip clip — and these students absolutely crushed it! 👏👏
This lesson challenges students to think like real product designers and engineers. Using professional 3D design software, students learned how to:
🔹 Design moving mechanical parts
🔹 Create a functional spring mechanism using 3D printing technology
🔹 Understand tolerances and clearances between parts
🔹 Design for assembly and functionality
🔹 Prototype, test, and improve their designs
🔹 Apply real-world engineering and problem-solving skills
The result? A custom-designed chip clip that not only looks great but actually works amazingly well! 🥳🥔📦
Projects like this show students that 3D printing is about much more than creating models—it’s about designing products that solve real-world problems. 💡⚙️
If your child loves technology, engineering, design, or simply creating cool things with their hands, we encourage you to check out our 3D Printing Classes! 🚀✨ Students learn how to turn their ideas into physical products while developing valuable future-ready skills.

✨ TWO-COLOUR 3D PRINTING MAGIC! ✨🖨️🎨
This student learned an awesome advanced 3D printing technique — creating a TWO-COLOUR print that is printed FACE DOWN on the print bed to achieve an ultra-smooth, high-quality finish! 🤯🔥
What makes this even cooler is that the project combines TWO important digital skills:
🖥️ Designing part of the project in a 3D modelling program
⚙️ Using slicing software to control how the printer creates the final print layer-by-layer
The slicing software is where students learn powerful techniques like:
✨ Colour changes
✨ Layer control
✨ Print orientation
✨ Surface quality optimization
✨ Preparing professional-quality prints
The final result? A super clean, polished design that looks AMAZING! 😍👏
And the possibilities are endless! 🚀
Students can apply this same concept to create:
🪧 Custom signs
☕ Coasters
🎮 Gaming logos
🏷️ Name plates
🎁 Personalized gifts
🎨 Multi-colour art pieces
…and so much more!
Beyond just “printing things,” students are learning:
💡 Creative problem solving
📐 Design thinking
🖥️ Digital fabrication
⚙️ Manufacturing workflows
🎨 Graphic design concepts
🔧 Real-world maker skills
If your child is interested in 3D Printing, design, and creating incredible projects like this, check out our 3D Printing Program for students ages 8+! 🚀👨💻👩💻
🩷✨ From Laser-Cut Wood to Flexible 3D Prints! ✨🩷
Our student explored the amazing concept of a living hinge using PLA, a common 3D printing material! 🖨️🔧 A living hinge is a flexible design made from a series of carefully spaced cuts that allow a solid object to bend and flex without breaking.
This idea originally became popular with laser-cut plywood, where designers use precise cuts in wood to create flexibility 🌳⚡ — and now our students are applying the same engineering concept in the world of 3D printing!
Through projects like this, students develop:
🔹 3D design and modeling skills
🔹 Engineering and problem-solving abilities
🔹 Understanding of material properties
🔹 Creative thinking and innovation
🔹 Hands-on experience with advanced technology
The possibilities are endless when kids combine creativity with technology 🚀 From flexible designs and custom gadgets to inventions of their own, students quickly realize they can bring almost ANY idea to life! 🤯✨
