The AGM programme is based on the work of physician and educator, Dr. Maria Montessori, who, through research and studies, helped to change the course of education in the early 1900s. Montessori recognizes that children learn in many different ways and at their own pace. Montessori is consciously designed to recognize and address different learning styles, helping students learn to study most effectively. We work in the following domains:

Maybe they helped a friend, shared something special, offered a hug, included someone in play, or were on the receiving end of a thoughtful gesture. No act of kindness is too small! 🤝💕

These everyday moments help children develop empathy, compassion, and respect for others, while showing them just how meaningful a little kindness can be.

This month, we’re featuring I Like This, You Like That by Linda Ashman, illustrated by Eve Coy—a sweet, rhyming story about friendship, differences, and finding common ground. 💛

Kindness and courtesy are at the heart of Montessori education. From offering a friend a turn to saying “excuse me” when passing, children practice kindness in small, consistent ways that shape how they treat others — and themselves.

A long-term study highlighted by UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center followed children from childhood into adulthood. Those who showed more pro-social skills — like helping, sharing, and cooperating — were more likely to succeed in school and work and less likely to face serious challenges and troubles later in life. Teaching kindness today truly supports their future tomorrow.
