We understand the importance of feedback and actively seek it through our Family Satisfaction Survey.
This year, we received a rating of 4.5 out of 5, indicating a significant level of satisfaction among families. We thank everyone for their participation!

The foundations of learning are an essential part of UCCC programs.
We believe "children are competent, capable of complex thinking, curious, and rich in potential" (HDHL, 2014) and this is reflected in our programs.

Support doesn’t always look like stepping in.
During the kindergarten years (ages 4–5), children begin to explore independence in new ways—trying, problem-solving, and making sense of the world around them.
With that shift, adult support evolves too.
✨ From doing → guiding
✨ From fixing → allowing space
✨ From directing → encouraging thinking
Small everyday moments—zipping a jacket, solving a disagreement, making a choice—become powerful opportunities for growth.

Development isn’t only about preparing for what’s next.
It’s about recognizing who children are in this moment; their thoughts, feelings, and growing sense of self.
When children feel seen today, they build the confidence needed to succeed tomorrow.

This World Environment Day, remember that caring for the environment can start early, and grow over time.
At UCCC, environmental stewardship starts with simple, everyday experiences that help children build a connection with the world around them.
🌿 spending time in nature
🌎 developing respect for the environment
🤝 practicing care and responsibility in small ways
These moments may feel small, but they help shape how children understand their role in the world.

“How was your day?” is often one of the first questions families ask at pick-up. For many young children, this can be a big question to reflect on after a full day of play, learning, and social interaction.
Children may respond with brief answers like “good” or “nothing,” not because nothing happened, but because they often recall specific moments rather than the full sequence of their day.
Using simple, open-ended questions can help support more meaningful conversations at home and encourage children to share their experiences in a way that feels natural to them.
Our educators support children throughout the day and are available to connect with families and share insights about their child’s experiences.
