St. Andrew's Co-op Playschool St. Andrew's Co-op Playschool is a non-profit organization operating in Markham Andrew's Co-Operative Playschool Inc.

is a non-profit organization run by a Board of Directors consisting of elected members. Our school is licensed by the Ministry of Education as a day nursery. We are the only preschool in Markham accepting toddlers from 18 months of age who are in diapers. Toddler Class: 18 months to 2 ½ years runs 9:15 to 11:45 am
Preschool Class: 2 ½ to 5 years runs 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Early drop-off available for both toddler and pre-school children starting at 8:30 a.m. for a nominal monthly fee

*Set days: T/Th, M/W/F or all 5 days
*Innovative ECE qualified teachers
*Spacious facilities including separate classrooms for each age level, a large common area and a full-size gym
*Daily gym program
*Daily snack
*Frequent field trips and neighborhood outings
*Children in diapers welcome
*New renovations and facility improvements thanks to a $73,000 grant we received from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (www.trilliumfoundation.org)
*No duty parent requirement
*Limited non-committee spots available

🧡 Orange Shirt Day 🧡

Tomorrow, is Truth and Reconciliation day, we wear our orange shirts to honor Residential School survivors. Remembering those who never made it home, and reflect on the history of Indigenous peoples.

What a wonderful first two days of school! ✨
We are off to such a great start to the new school year! Our classrooms have been filled with lots of smiles, new friendships, fun activities, and, of course, a few little tears along the way. 💕

🐻 Toddler Classroom:
Our toddlers had a few tears as they adjusted to their new surroundings. Those first-day feelings are completely normal, and we are so proud of how wonderfully our little ones have settled in! They especially warmed up very quickly once we headed to the gym, our little ones absolutely loved all the cars! 🚗💨

🎨 Preschool Classroom:
Our preschoolers have been incredible! They did such an amazing job remembering our classroom routines and rules from last year. We are so proud of how helpful and kind they have been, especially when welcoming and helping our new friends who are joining us this year. 🥰👏

🍎 The children enjoyed decorating apples using paintbrushes and bubble wrap, as well as experimenting with marble painting. 🎨 We also had the opportunity to introduce our little ones to our community with a neighbourhood walk and a picnic snack along the way. 🌳🧺

We hope everyone had an amazing summer break! ☀️ It’s unbelievable how quickly time has gone by, and our first day of school is just around the corner. ✏️📚🚌

We can’t wait to see and catch up with our returning friends and families, as well as welcome and meet all of our new little friends! 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Our first day of school will be
Thursday September 10th, 2026.

We would also like to invite you to our Meet & Greet with our teachers on Wednesday September 9th, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.

It will be a wonderful opportunity to get to know our staff, meet your child’s teachers, and connect with other families before the new school year begins! We look forward to seeing everyone!

Happy Father’s Day !!!

Unfortunately due to printing times Father’s Day will not be included in the yearbook. So we wanted to do something special and create a little video with the little ones. It was such a sweet and funny experience hearing the little ones answer our father day interview questions !

Thank you for all the families who joined us for our Father’s Day sports and snacks celebration on Friday and was a success ! The kiddos loved being able to play with their dads and enjoyed some yummy treats.
