In our biweekly sketchbook class that most of our students take we recently had an assignment where students were asked to choose 3 different objects and draw them in 5 different angles. And remembering to make sure that the structure is clean and the cross contour is visible. Here’s how our instructor’s demo looked and if you swipe you can see some of our student’s work!

If I didn’t say this was taught in an art class you’d probably assume it was some science mixed with math class 😆 but it’s just our weekly anatomy class! With the focus being on the ribcage this time

Same pose, different time limits ⏱️ 1 min, 3 min, 5 min and each one ends up feeling completely different.

The 1-minute forces you to just react and capture the movement, no time to think. The 3-minute starts to feel more balanced, where things come together a bit more. And the 5-minute is where you try to slow down and build it out
