PCA FC in the Nest! Middle School students had their day, winning a lunch-time rematch against PCA teachers/staff! Mr. A always brings his A-game, surprising the kids with his quick reflexes and rebound saves, but even he couldn’t stop all the strikes as these kids were on a mission to redeem themselves. And redeem, they did, with a decisive 8-4 victory, the cheers seemed louder than years before! It’s always fun to see our youngsters face off against our seasoned staff each year. This is the PCA culture we have established over the generations in which students and teachers can have fun playing a friendly match of anything. Thank you to Mrs. Hay for organizing and reffing the match. Until next year’s match, stay active PCA!

Eagles Nation has grown! PCA welcomed all our new families this year at their annual New Family Fellowship! It was a nice time for families to meet and mingle, welcoming each other to the PCA Family. There was a photo booth, raffle for PCA mugs and bottles, and mounds of snacks to keep the little ones fed and happy. Thank you to all parents for choosing PCA, entrusting their most cherished ones into the care of our wonderful teachers and ambassadors for Christ. PCA remains committed to our students and families, with the ongoing mission to Prepare the whole person to reach the whole world for Christ. As we like to remind all our families year-after-year: ‘Once an Eagle, Always an Eagle,’ may all our families, new and old, be blessed as we rise up together for God’s glory.

Junior, Middle and Senior School divisions held their annual Parent Information Night. PCA knows how involved our parent community is when it comes to their children’s education and spiritual growth. They are always kept at the forefront of knowledge in terms of what their children will learn and how they can help them to succeed. Teachers understand and appreciate the fact that this is a year-long partnership with families with the hopes that their students develop essential skills, grow their faith, and eventually discover the purpose God has for their lives. We know the Lord has perfectly formed each child with very specific talents, interests, and hearts through which they will one day reach the world for Christ. PCA remains committed to this mission from Day One.

Middle School students attended their first chapel of the year. Mr. West led the worship with other PCA teachers, a special time when we lift up our praises to The Almighty God. Mr. West went on to provide a brief overview of the reasons we attend chapel every Wednesday, ultimately to give the Lord ‘First Things First’ and to embrace His purpose for us.

We are so grateful for our teachers who exemplify Christ in their own lives so that students see the Living Truth every day they come to school. We look forward to all the amazing (and super fun) chapels we will have together! diving into God’s Word and being transformed to be more like Christ each day. As we do with every gathering, we start and end with prayer, every heartfelt word echoed in Heaven as here on earth.

For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.

Student Council kicked off the new school year with an adhoc campsite! As much as we want to keep the summer going, alas, seasons will change and we move forward into what the Lord has in store of us. Lots of fun things to look forward to, courtesy of our super creative Student Council. Keep your ears to the grass as SC announcements are coming soon!

The first chapels help set the tone and expectations for the new school year. Moreover, they encourage our students to set their minds and hearts on higher things, as the Holy Spirit leads us and our faith deepens in every season. We are so grateful to have our chaplains and worship teams point students to our God who is able and faithful in all things! Thank you to all the parents who attended our Junior School chapel and continuing to partner with PCA in raising every child with God’s purpose for his/her life. Together, as one Body, we will live for His purpose, and thus, bear much fruit for His Kingdom here on earth.

The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands. - PSALM 138 : 8

Welcome back, Eagles! It was an exciting morning to see our students returning to PCA! Thank you to all the parents who left their homes early to get their children to school. We especially want to thank our Facilities Team and traffic directors for ensuring a safe and efficient flow of vehicles as every child arrived with smiling faces! May this be the beginning of a purpose-filled year as the Lord will light our path and bless the work of our hands, all for His eternal glory!

We miss you already! Wishing you all a safe and blessed summer!

At the end of every school year, our Junior School teachers like to recognize their students for their special achievements and outstanding demonstrations of faith and good character. This is also a time for students to be encouraged in seeing their peers recognized for their distinction, in word and in deed, as iron sharpens iron. Thank you to all the teachers for dedicating their many hours to not only teach their students about the world, but to model Christ’s love every day so that they go into the world with the same heart in everything they do. Special thanks to our Parents Committee for presenting the Good Samaritan and Leadership Awards, and for their continuing involvement with so many different school events that bring the community together.

Have a blessed summer of rest and fun, Screaming Eagles! May we continue to shine brightly in the world just as the Lord formed each of us for His good purpose. All glory is His, now and always.

A taste of summer came our way as JS classes headed outside for a fun day of games! There were of course cheers and laughter throughout the parking lot as the students competed in the different skill games. Water stations were frequented as kids know hydration is essential to staying cool. Thank you to all the Junior School teachers who make it their joy to create these fun events for their students, wrapping up another incredible year! This is what students have come to love and appreciate about being a part of the PCA family. Here’s to many more days of fun in the sun!
