Our centre is unique on its own! The principle focus of our therapy is to enable our students with the necessary skills to adapt in a regular school setting.

Our therapy setting works alongside a typical pre-school providing an opportunity for the learners to apply skills taught during therapy sessions in order to evaluate the success rate for an effective transition, which could be generalized in other school settings. This is what makes us stand-out in comparison to other therapy centres. Little Treasures offers various services to families who have

Little Treasures will be offering another block of Social Skills every Saturdays from 9am-12pm starting April 16th-June 25th.

Our social skills program is offered to all children, not only to those who require specialized support. Our goal is to enrich children with social opportunities to learn various appropriate behaviours in a group/social environment. These skills can help them with school readiness, following group instructions, interacting appropriately with other peers, among various others. We will be following a specialized social skills curriculum where we will be targeting various areas that we can build on with the children such as turn taking, conversation skills, conflict management, and more.

If you are interested in enrolling your child, however will be the first time attending our social skills program, please email [email protected] and we will be happy to followup with a phone meeting to discuss more details.

Our social skills program starting in February 2016, is offered to all children within the ages 2.5-9 years old, and is not restricted to those who require specialized support. Based on assessment, your child will be placed in either Social skills group 1 OR group 2 based on their ages and skill level. Our goal is to enrich children with social opportunities to learn various appropriate behaviours in a group/social environment. These skills can help them with school readiness, following group instructions, interacting appropriately with other peers, among various others. We will be following a specialized social skills cirriculum where we will be targeting various areas that we can build on with the children. All our programs are supervised by a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), who will oversee and supervise the program, and monitor the ongoing progress of each child as well as address any behaviours or obstacles that would interfer with the child's learning (if observed).

Registeration is now available! If you are interested in registering your child for this program,

As the winter break is fast approaching, Little Treasures will be offering a more intensive, individualized social skills camp during this winter break.

The camp will run for 5 full days (9am-3pm) Dec 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 29th and 30th (closed for Christmas and Newyears) where the program will be similar to what has been run on Saturdays, except more intensive and individualized to each child. The benefits for your children to attend this winter camp would be for them to get more opportunities to practice the new skills they were newly exposed to during the Saturday programs which ran from October 17th till December 5th.

ABA for individuals with Down's syndrome 10/22/2015

"The fact that evidence-based interventions driven from ABA have shown to be effective for children with ASD has often lead to the misconception that ABA is synonymous to a “therapy for autism” and that it can only be used to design interventions for children with ASD. As some authors have already pointed out (e.g., Dillenburger & Keenan, 2009), this is a myth. ABA is the science that focuses on socially significant human behaviour (Cooper, Heron, & Heward, 2007), thus it can and should be the basis for the design of an effective intervention for improving any aspect of human behaviour (e.g., increasing communication, social, or academic skills and decreasing inappropriate behaviours such as aggressive or self-injurious behaviours) for any population (e.g., adults with aphasia, children with ASD, adults learning a second language, children with Down’s syndrome, etc.)" Read article for more info....
