Today, we recognize National Day for Truth and Reconciliation at J. Addison School. The JAS community comes together to honour Residential School Survivors and their families, and to remember the children who never returned home. Our students, teachers, and staff are wearing orange in recognition of Every Child Matters and as a meaningful reminder of the importance of truth, understanding, and reconciliation.

This morning, our students also delivered a school-wide announcement to help deepen our understanding of the intergenerational impacts of residential schools and reflect on their enduring legacy. Today, and every day, we continue learning, remembering, and listening as part of the ongoing journey toward truth, healing, and reconciliation.
