A moment from class this week stayed with me.
One adult shared that not speaking up at work was leading to them being overlooked… even mistreated.
That’s tough to hear.
Because communication isn’t just about presentations.
It affects how we’re treated and how we show up in the world.
We worked on a few small strategies, and I encouraged them to seek support through HR or an EAP as well.
But it reinforced something important:
Everyone deserves to be heard.
Sometimes all it takes is finding your voice.

Ever catch yourself playing with your sleeves or adjusting your shirt when speaking?
You’re not alone. We see this all the time in class.
The tricky part?
It can quietly take away from your message.
A simple shift:
✔️ Let your hands rest naturally
✔️ Move them with intention
✔️ Don’t let them “search” for something to do
It’s a small tweak… but it changes how people see you.
Next time you speak, notice your hands. You might be surprised.

Lean into story + empathy

Tone Shift:
Shorter
More “scroll-stopping”
Line breaks matter
Strong first line = everything
🔥 MONDAY (IG Caption)
New classes start this Saturday.
You can always feel it…
The nerves.
The excitement.
The “please don’t call on me yet” energy 😄
Here’s the truth:
Confidence doesn’t come first.
Speaking does.
And confidence follows.
🎤
🧠 WEDNESDAY (IG Caption)
Your hands are talking…
even when you’re not thinking about them.
Fidgeting = nervous energy
Try this instead:
✔️ Stillness
✔️ Intentional movement
✔️ Relaxed positioning
Small shift. Big impact.
👉 Pair with:
Photo of someone presenting
OR simple graphic: “Your hands are talking”
❤️ FRIDAY (IG Caption)
Not speaking up has a cost.
This week, someone shared they were being overlooked at work because they struggled to communicate clearly.
That hit.
Because this isn’t just about speaking…
it’s about being seen.
Every voice matters.
Always.
🎯 Platform Differences (Quick Cheat Sheet)
Platform What Wins Your Move
LinkedIn Insight + authority Teach + provoke thought
Facebook Relatability + conversation Tell stories + ask questions
Instagram Visual + emotion + simplicity Short + punchy + clean formatting
🚀 Bonus Move (High Impact, Low Effort)
Take your Wednesday tip and turn it into:
👉 A 30-second video
You saying:
“One thing I see all the time in speakers…”
Post that on:
IG Reels
Facebook
LinkedIn
That’s triple exposure from one clip 🎯
If you want next level:
I can turn Week 1 into a full content pack:
Caption + image idea + video script for each post
So you’re not thinking… just posting
This is how you go from “posting sometimes” to “we show up everywhere without burning out.”

🐣 What do Easter eggs and great communicators have in common?
They both stand out when they’re thoughtfully crafted.
At e3 Public Speaking, we see it every week:
✨ The student who finds their voice
✨ The professional who finally says what they meant to say
✨ The quiet idea that becomes the one everyone remembers
Communication isn’t about being the loudest in the room.
It’s about being the one people lean in to hear.
This Easter, we’re celebrating growth, courage, and those small moments that crack something open 🐰
Because sometimes… all it takes is one sentence, said with confidence, to change everything.
🌱 What’s something you’ve been meaning to say—but haven’t yet?

New classes start this Saturday and there’s always a special kind of energy in that first session.
A mix of excitement… nerves… and a few “please don’t call on me yet” smiles 😄
What I’ve learned over the years is this:
confidence doesn’t show up all at once.
It starts small.
A steadier voice.
A pause instead of rushing.
Hands that finally feel like they belong.
Most people think they need confidence before they speak.
In reality… speaking is what builds it.
Curious—what makes you the most nervous when speaking in front of others?

Today we honour the voices that were silenced, the stories that were suppressed, and the truths that are still being told.
At e3 Public Speaking, we believe that storytelling is not just a skill — it's a sacred thread that connects people, cultures, and time. For Indigenous communities across Turtle Island, storytelling is knowledge, memory, identity, and ceremony. It’s how lessons are passed, histories are preserved, and healing begins.
We recognize that public speaking, in its truest form, has always existed in Indigenous traditions — long before podiums and microphones. It’s in the circle, the fire, the gathering, the listening.
On this day, we pause. We reflect. And we recommit to listening with open hearts and using our voices in ways that honour truth, dignity, and shared growth.
To all Indigenous students, mentors, Elders, and families — we see you. We thank you. We learn from you.

Here’s to the ones who taught us how to tell a great story, deliver a solid punchline, or just speak up when it mattered.
Happy Father’s Day from the e3 Public Speaking crew!
We’re thinking today about the dads, stepdads, uncles, big brothers, mentors, and quiet champions in our lives — the ones who led by example and showed us that a strong voice doesn’t always mean shouting. Sometimes, it means listening. Sometimes, it means being brave enough to say “I don’t know” in front of others.
Whether they helped with a school speech, practiced that big interview answer with you, or just gave you the confidence to stand a little taller — we’re grateful.

his weekend, we teamed up with My Outlet to explore the art of storytelling and self-advocacy with an amazing group of neurodivergent youth.
From quiet courage to powerful stories, these young speakers reminded us that every voice matters—and that storytelling can spark real connection and empathy.
Huge thanks to My Outlet for creating such a supportive space. 💬🧠

Whether you're watching fireworks, hitting the road, or just enjoying some chill time—we hope your weekend is full of sunshine, laughter, and great conversations.
At e3, we believe communication should feel just like this weekend: natural, confident, and full of good energy. So if you find yourself giving a toast, telling a story around the campfire, or hyping up your long weekend plans—go for it!
💬 Speak boldly. Listen fully. And enjoy every moment.
Stay safe, stay expressive!

Our busy spring continues with another session with the youth at we are teaching the fine art of impromptu speaking. This will give them an advantage in job interviews and when making friends. The youth are engaged to learn more and we are excited to have 2 more sessions ahead!
