Subject: Grad Parent Committee Update & Upcoming Meeting
Hello Grad Parents,
On September 22, we held our first Dry Grad fundraising meeting to select a Chairperson and Treasurer and to discuss fundraising opportunities for the year.
Our goal is to raise $20,000 to $25,000 to help cover the costs of food, games, entertainment, and prizes for students attending Dry Grad on June 4, 2027.
Some of our successful fundraising activities in previous years have included:
Gift card sales
Mitchell's Soup sales
Paint Nights
Bingo events
Concession sales at school events
Craft fairs
Bottle drives
Car washes
We have already secured a date for the Canucks 50/50 Draw on December 10, and we currently have more than enough parent volunteers signed up for that event. We have also received an offer to host Photos with Llamas and are exploring several other fundraising opportunities.
In addition, we have prepared a donation request letter that can be shared with local businesses seeking sponsorships or contributions.
Earlier this week, we held a Dry Grad student meeting at lunch. We had a great turnout, with students sharing many ideas for prizes and gifts. A few students also volunteered to help organize a spring craft fair. Students have been reminded that attending meetings and volunteering, either themselves or through their parents, provides additional opportunities to win volunteer prizes at Dry Grad.
