A LITTLE AUTUMN MAGIC AT KANAKA!

What a beautiful week at Imagination Station Kanaka!
From our adventures at Meadows Family Farm to exploring pumpkins, learning about their life cycle, and enjoying LOTS of outdoor play, we've been soaking up all the fall fun!

And of course... TOM THE TURKEY STRIKES AGAIN!
Despite our best efforts, that sneaky turkey outsmarted us once more! Looks like Tom wins... for now!

We're so grateful for the little moments, big discoveries, friendships, and endless adventures that make our days so special.

From our Kanaka family to yours, HAPPY

Lots of hands on learning has been happening at Silverdale Crossing these past few weeks. Our 3-5 programs have started their phonics programs, learning all about the letters that make up all the amazing words in our world. One of our 3-5 programs have expanded on their love of leaves and have added in ants. They now have an ant farm to observe daily.

Our JRK Programs are focusing their learning on all things fall with lots of sensory bins, science and much more.

Infants and Toddlers have been exploring different types of musical instruments during music time, along with many fun sensory activities and crafts.

This week over at Albion we have been working hard on creative expression! Our bigger friends made nature soup with our practicum student, enjoyed the new play dough, and created our own shirts in honour of orange shirt day. Our younger friends loved working on their fine motor skills with the drawing tablets!❤️

Our little Kanaka Foxes did it!!

This week we came together for our 2nd Annual Little Fox Run, continuing Terry Fox’s incredible Marathon of Hope and honestly, our hearts are FULL.

We set a goal of $1,000, and our amazing Kanaka families blew right past it, raising OVER $1,100!!

But the money is only part of what made this day so special. Watching our little ones run, laugh, cheer each other on, and be part of something bigger than themselves was such a beautiful reminder that little people can make a BIG difference.

A HUGE thank you to every family who donated, shared, cheered, ran, helped, or simply showed up. Thank you for believing in what we’re trying to teach our children ,that kindness matters, community matters, and even the smallest act can create a ripple.

There was so much love, laughter and heart packed into those little fox feet.

From the bottom of our hearts… THANK YOU, Kanaka.

Here’s to keeping Terry’s hope moving forward, one little step at a time.

We ran. We hoped. We made a difference❤️

Silverdale Crossings JRK programs have started the year off, learning about shapes and colors. We welcomed many new friends to our 9-1:30 programs, and still have lots of space available for more friends to join in the fun :)

Our 3-5 programs have continued their interest of exploring leaves and the many things you can do with them.

The Infant and toddlers have enjoyed many hands on activities from sensory bins to crafts and so much more.
