We have been busy over at Albion with our Summer kick off… Most importantly the other night we took time to celebrate all the Dads in our world at our “beer” garden. We celebrated our Dads with delicious root beer floats and some very creative art work! A fun time was had by all!

Last Week's Adventures at Kanaka!
What a wonderful week of learning, creativity, and exploration!
Our Junior Kindergarten children became artists as they learned about famous painters such as Vincent van Gogh and Wassily Kandinsky. They explored a variety of art mediums and techniques to create their own unique masterpieces, expressing their creativity and individuality along the way.
Our Infants and Toddlers enjoyed exploring with loose parts both indoors and outdoors. They had lots of fun discovering, building, and experimenting through hands-on play, as well as cooling off with water play during our outdoor adventures.
Our 3-5 Year Olds focused on learning
colors and shapes through engaging road-themed activities, shape exploration, and color-matching games. They also worked on alphabet recognition using magnetic letters and stretched their imaginations through storytelling with felt board stories and characters.
From creative art projects to imaginative play, outdoor exploration, and early learning activities, it was a week filled with smiles, laughter, and meaningful experiences.
Fun was had, friendships were
strengthened, and wonderful memories were made!
Last week at Kanaka, our JKs became little entomologists as they explored the life cycle of butterflies and checked on the different stages our tiny friends were at!
Later, the group transformed into mechanics, taping markers onto cars and creating their own roadways for imaginative play.
Our 3-5 group became architects while exploring magnetic tiles, building towers, and learning about colors along the way.
Meanwhile, our infant and toddler friends enjoyed the beautiful outdoors, spending time at local parks and having fun with water and sand play.
So much fun, learning, and discovery was shared by everyone last week at Kanaka!
This week at Kanaka, our classrooms have been busy learning, creating, and exploring nature!
Our OOSC children became little artists and painted like Monet using dried-out markers and watercolors. It was amazing to see their creativity come to life through color and imagination!
Our Infant & Toddler group enjoyed sensory exploration with bugs and planting wildflowers, connecting with nature through hands-on play and discovery.
In our 3-5 program, we started our butterfly kits and have been carefully observing the caterpillars as they prepare for their big transition into butterflies. To help make them feel at home, the children created bright and colorful coffee filter butterflies to decorate our classroom.
We love watching curiosity, creativity, and wonder grow each day at Kanaka!
