Last Week's Adventures at Kanaka!
What a wonderful week of learning, creativity, and exploration!

Our Junior Kindergarten children became artists as they learned about famous painters such as Vincent van Gogh and Wassily Kandinsky. They explored a variety of art mediums and techniques to create their own unique masterpieces, expressing their creativity and individuality along the way.

Our Infants and Toddlers enjoyed exploring with loose parts both indoors and outdoors. They had lots of fun discovering, building, and experimenting through hands-on play, as well as cooling off with water play during our outdoor adventures.

Our 3-5 Year Olds focused on learning
colors and shapes through engaging road-themed activities, shape exploration, and color-matching games. They also worked on alphabet recognition using magnetic letters and stretched their imaginations through storytelling with felt board stories and characters.

From creative art projects to imaginative play, outdoor exploration, and early learning activities, it was a week filled with smiles, laughter, and meaningful experiences.

Fun was had, friendships were
strengthened, and wonderful memories were made!

The Silverdale school 3/5 room had w fantastic morning helping Mother Nature 🐝 spreading some wildflowers seeds in the forest school area and can't wait to see them grow. It's a seed-mazing way to make a difference! 🌹

Our friends at Albion have spent the last few weeks working on something special for Mother’s Day. We celebrated our special mom’s with a tea party on Friday and painted some very beautiful flower pots with them❤️ A definite fun time was had by everyone!

We have also been spending lots of time outside enjoying the beautiful weather!

Silverdale Crossing has been enjoying the amazing weather these past few weeks. The children have been working hard on their mothers day gifts and our JRK/3-5 programs hosted a mother's Day event for their mom's. This week we received our caterpillars, and the children have enjoyed watching and learning about how they will transform into beautiful butterflies.

The 3:5 room at Silverdale school got a chance to visit baby chicks that just hatched 🐣 all the children were very interested and excited so we will continue the visits every week to observe and learn all about the cycle of a chicken 🐓
