Maple Creek Music School

is rooted in years of auditioned choirs, first with the Saskatoon Children's Choir, then with the University of Saskatchewan Greystone Singers. She's had many years of private instruction, and is working toward ARCTs in both Voice and Speech Arts and Drama with the Royal Conservatory of Music. (Master of Arts) in English from the U of S, her experience in practice and performance, as well as being winner of the 2015 Speech Arts and Drama class at Provincial Music Festival in Saskatoon, SK, serves her well. Heather Macnab has been teaching music and working with youth for four decades and is almost retired but still help out! She looks forward to meeting new kids and introducing them to the joy of using their own voices. Heather’s experience, besides being a private music teacher, includes directing musicals (for 20 years!) teaching musical theatre at Summer School for the Solo Voice in North Battleford, conducting Speech Arts workshops in schools throughout Saskatchewan for the SMFA, and adjudicating music festivals. Heather’s music education includes ARCT diplomas (Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Music) in Piano, Singing, and Speech Arts and Drama. She was the winner of the RCM gold medal for her ARCT Speech Arts Performance exam, signifying the highest mark in Canada. She is a member of the Saskatchewan Registered Music Teachers Association.
