2nd Nest Daycare

As childcare providers, we know how important it is for little ones to explore and play outdoors! BUT, when the air quality index rises too high to be safe, you can count on your provider to pull out ALL the stops and create so many fun indoor invitations to play! When we were stuck inside last week, our crews had so much fun with indoor sensory experiences, playdoh, baking cookies, indoor gardening, science experiments, group puzzles and games, and SO much more!

Yesterday we took a trip to the farm! The animals got all muddy and needed help getting cleaned up!
We washed the animals while reading about animals on the farm, we learned about how animals provide milk, eggs, and fur and more, we learned about their babies and we got to hear what noises some of the animals make! 🐷🐮🐔

When it rains we bring out our colouring and toys on the front porch so we can still enjoy the fresh air! 🌧️

Outdoor play time is so important to our day! We have so much fun exploring, getting dirty and enjoying the fresh air ☀️

Yesterday we had so much fun exploring our fruit & water setup! We used droppers to pickup water, we also smelled the different fruits.. and there was a bit of tasting too! 🍋
