What an amazing second week we had celebrating the World Cup at sailing ⚽️! Friday we had race day, bringing Spain 🇪🇸 to victory in LJYC team points, as well as in the final football match on Sunday. For our races, Finn & Everette came in 1st, Yvette & Kate & Leah in second, and Matthew & James in third. We also had a great time celebrating Kate’s birthday and a lot of opti ball. Great work Loons!

Maggie’s bio! Maggie is a CANSail 1/2 coach and Head of Health and Safety. She is certified as a CANSail 1 and 2 instructor, Wetfeet, Boat Safety, Community Instructor, and First Aid/CPR. Maggie goes all out for theme days, such as her tumbleweed costume last year.

It’s almost that time of the year!! Registration will open today at 12pm! We cannot wait to see our new and returning sailors! Look forward to sailing/sailing instruction, games, swimming, racing, so much fun, and don’t forget our beloved pep rallies! Spots are first come first serve so we highly encourage early registration. LJYC has half day or full day options for wet feet campers. CANSail 1-6 is full day. We offer discounts for multiple week campers, as well as local public school attendees. We are also offering a special introduction to sailing 3 day camp (July 1-3) to those who want to try it out before sailing is in complete swing! If your preferred weeks are sold out, we have a waitlist system you can join.⛵️ Can’t wait to see you all! Go Loons!!

Congrats to our passers from week 7! Congrats to Priscilla and Evelyn for passing CANSail 1, Yvette and Quin for passing CANSail 2, Gavin for passing CANSail 4, and Esme and Sophie for passing ICANSAIL! We’re so proud of all of our sailors this summer for their dedication to the sport!

What an amazing last week! We cannot believe how quickly this summer has gone. Our last week was filled with games, songs for camp rock, pizza 😋, capture the flag, swimming, and hanging out with our friends at LJYC. We will miss you and can’t wait to see you all next year!

Week 7 dress up for camp rock🎸 🤘 Our teams were the fanbases: Sheerios (Ed Sheeran), Beleibers (Justin Bieber), Swifties (Taylor swift), and the Siwanators (Jojo Siwa). We had a blast representing our teams and playing our weekly Wednesday capture the flag!

Our race team traveled down to Stony Lake for the Cottage Club regatta. Congratulations to Lochlan and Gavin for winning 1st place in the whitesail fleet, and Ellie and Abby for getting 3rd. Great work Loons!
