LYC Junior Sailing

August 3rd and 4th, we will be hosting our annual Sail Fest Regatta, welcoming dinghy sailors from across the province and beyond to compete in our beautiful waters!

There will be racing for Optimist, C420 and ICLA 4 & 6 classes. This year's regatta is extra special as we're also hosts of the Nova Scotia Provincial C420 Championship.

Our Race Teams had a blast at the Bay Wind Regatta hosted by St Margaret Sailing Club! Podium finishes in both the C420 fleets and ICLA class ⛵️

Last Friday, ambitious Opti sailors took part in a shoreline cleanup at LYC and earned Silver certification from Sailors for the Sea for SailFest 2022 Regatta!

The cleanup also counts towards Canada SailGP Team’s goal to clean up 10% of Canada’s coastline
