Today is a big day at the Lunenburg Day Care Centre, and one that's a little bittersweet.
After 42 years as an essential part of the family, providing genuine love and care and smiles -- always smiles! -- to some of Lunenburg and area's very youngest citizens, 'Ms Donna' is retiring. Yes, Donna Young!
Depending on your age, Donna may have cared for you. She certainly cared for many of our children; the grown ones and the still growing. There's a youngster in her classroom today whose mother was one of Donna's children. And for all of us who at the end of the day arrived to pick up our children and asked how did things go, the answer was always the same... "It was a great day!" And wasn't that just music to a parent's ears?

The staff and children of the Lunenburg Day Care Centre will walk through our beautiful town this Wednesday April 29th @230 pm to raise awareness and respect for Autism Awareness. We are taking donations so if you see our little parade of little peeps on their way and you are able to give, we will kindly accept🧩💙. All funds raised will go to Nova Scotia Autism Society - South Shore Chapter.
