WHAT I LEARNED THIS YEAR: CONFIDENCE
Leading up to the recital this evening I’ve learned that piano is more than just teaching a student a song.
It’s about building their confidence and letting them know they worked hard towards a goal of learning piano this year.
It’s not just about playing, but building their confidence to get up in front of other people and play a beautiful piece of music that they’ve worked hard on.
I know that all my students have a beautiful gift they’ve been given this year as they’ve grown and learned even more than they knew before.
See you all tonight looking forward to it!
STICKER CHART: Check out this super full chart!!
Every student got a sticker for finishing a song or filling out their practice chart. Good job everyone!
I will say some students had difficult songs so it was a little more challenging to get more stickers 🙃.

Was a wonderful week of piano.
NOTE RECOGNITION: We’ve been working hard the last couple weeks on recognizing all the notes on the grand staff.
Students have had a hard time knowing their hand positions and notes, so I thought I’d work hard on helping them feel more confident in this area.
They’ve done a great job using some sayings to help them out with their note finding.
FALL REGISTRATION: I’ll have Fall 2026/27 registration available soon.
See everyone next week!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the piano recital in this very stormy, cold weather! Everyone sounded wonderful.
Missed those of you that couldn’t make it!
