Via Vita Academy Pre-K to Grade 9 Private School, Before & After School Care, and Day Camp located in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, Canada

Via Vita Academy (VVA) began with a simple dream - to create a school where education could be something more. What started in 2016 with just 16 students has grown into a thriving, woman-owned, year-round school and childcare centre in the heart of Kwipew, Mi'kma'ki (Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia). Today, VVA proudly offers:
PK–9 School
Summer/March Break Camps & Youth Leadership Programs
Before & After School Care

We remain intentionally small—so connection, curiosity, and community always come first.

As we savour the beauty of this October weekend and look ahead to a new week, we’re reminded to slow down and appreciate the little things — crisp mornings, colourful leaves, and the simple joy of this beautiful season. 🍂🍁

Because truly, we’re so glad we live in a world where there are Octobers. ❤️

Take some time today to learn, reflect, and continue your own journey toward understanding. One place to start is by reading the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action and learning more about our shared history. Reflect on the history of residential schools and the lasting impacts they continue to have.

May today be more than a day of remembrance — may it be a reminder of the responsibility we all carry to listen, learn, and act.

A little reminder from our student interns, who selected this week’s quote: “As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live.”

We already have more answers within us than we realize. Trusting ourselves means listening, learning, making mistakes, trying again, and having the courage to take the next step. 💕
