Memory Lane Family Place To provide programs and services to children and families in our community It is governed by a volunteer board of directors.

The Memory Lane Family Place Association in Lower Sackville has been delivering programs and services since early 1994. All projects and programs are sponsored by the Memory Lane Family Place Association (formally known as the Sackville Family Day Care Association), a non-profit charitable organization established in 1980. Projects are administered from the Family Place, under the direction of highly-trained and qualified staff. Parent advisory committees support program management. Participant involvement and community partnerships are core elements in service delivery. The centre works from a capacity building perspective, where children and families are embraced in a supportive environment. Projects offered from the MLFP include the Family Home Day Care Program – the Family Support Project – the provincially-licensed Memory Lane Family Place Preschool – and the Community Action Program for Children. All programs are free of charge, with the exception of the subsidized Family Home Day Care and the subsidized Preschool Programs. Our Vision Statement...

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce Virginia Beaudry (O'Connell) of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, who passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on July 3, 2026, at the age of 85. Joyce was our Excutive Director at Memory Lane Family Place Association for 46 years.

Joyce’s Memorial Service will be held on October 23rd (11:30 a.m.) at St. John Vianney Church (4 Beaverbank Road).
