✏️Families of Grades 7 & 8 school supplies!!

As students prepare for the upcoming school year, we wanted to share a few suggested supplies to help get them ready for September.

Since an official school supply list was not sent out at the end of June, we reached out to teachers to gather some recommendations. We understand that families may wish to purchase additional supplies for their students based on their individual needs and preferences.

The items below are simply the basic supplies teachers recommend having on hand:
✏️Pencils and erasers (a small pencil case to keep them organized)
📓Exercise books
📚 A few small 1-inch binders for notes
🗒️ Graph paper

What a massive pile of aluminum pull tabs recently dropped off to us for our Annual Christmas Holiday Season drop which takes place at Ronald McDonald House St. John’s, NL at year end.
Big thanks to our friend Matthew Blundell for making the trip all the way from the west coast of NL to St. John’s, NL with just over 393,000 aluminum pull tabs to add to our goal of 1 million tabs for 2026 year. You are the best buddy!

Anonymous west coast friends for 25,200 tabs.
And from Stephenville, NL; SCAPA Animal Shelter, SPCA Animal Shelter, BSG Gold Rush Volunteers and everyone else in the area who helped for 32,200 tabs.

Students have the opportunity to go through the clothing this morning then it will be open to the public at 12:40😊

🌭🔥 Calling All BBQ Heroes! 🔥🌭
Lourdes Elementary is looking to borrow a BBQ for Sports Day on Thursday, June 18th. If anyone has one we could use for the day, we would be incredibly grateful!
We're also looking for a few volunteer grill masters who would be willing to cook hot dogs and hamburgers for our students and staff. No professional experience required—just a willingness to flip burgers, avoid burning the hot dogs, and enjoy a little fun while feeding some hungry athletes!
If you can help with either a BBQ or your grilling skills, please let us know. Your support is greatly appreciated and will help make Sports Day even more special for our school community.
