Riverside has a pedagogical day scheduled for that day. However, some of our schools will be used as polling stations. As a result, daycare services will not be available at schools being used as polling stations.

Today, we observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We honor the survivors of residential schools, their families, and the children who never returned home.

Reconciliation is not a single day of reflection, it is an ongoing commitment to listening, learning, and taking meaningful action toward a better, more just future.

The meeting will be held at the school board conference room in the basement.

The agenda, previous AGA minutes, and Internal rules of procedures will be sent out Thursday to your school principals. IF you have not yet signed the Authorization to Divulge forms given by your principal or school secretary ask them why not and please do so 😉 it is mandatory (im sure it's a law 25 thing 🧐) in order for us to communicate with you.

Some of the biggest questions asked amongst parents with children with special needs is "Where and how can I get involved?"

THIS is your chance! There is still time to apply. The parents that apply and meet the requirements are elected at the 1st Parents' Committee Meeting "Tuesday October 6, 2026 7pm at the Board!"

But your child must have an IEP, and you must apply. If you're a parent of a child(ren) with special needs, life can be challenging enough. Get involved and help shape the path forward for students with special needs!
