At King’s, students arrive as one version of themselves and leave with greater confidence, new perspectives and the courage to embrace what comes next.
To the Class of 2026: congratulations! As you take your next steps, stay curious, stay kind and use the education you’ve received to care for one another. We are so proud of you.
Academic excellence takes the stage at Spring Convocation!
King’s is proud to honour the 2026 Board of Directors’ Gold Medal recipients for their exceptional academic achievement, this year’s King’s Scholars for their commitment to deeper learning and global understanding, and our Emeritus faculty members whose years of teaching, mentorship, and service have left a lasting legacy at King’s.
Join us in celebrating the outstanding students and faculty members whose achievements, curiosity, leadership, and service have helped shape the King’s community.
King’s Class of 2026, your big day is almost here! 🎓
Start the day at Western’s 327th Convocation at 10 a.m. at Canada Life Place, where King’s graduates will cross the stage and celebrate this incredible milestone.
After Convocation, graduates and their guests are invited to join us back on campus for the Class of 2026 Reception from 12–2 p.m. in the Student Life Centre, followed by the Celebration of Graduates at 2 p.m. in Labatt Hall. 💚
Reminder: King's graduates can drop off their regalia on campus at The Kenny Theatre following the Celebration of Graduates.
As we celebrate the Class of 2026, we are also honoured to celebrate Liz Akiwenzie, who has been part of the King's community for many years.
Liz Akiwenzie, an Ojibwe and Oneida Knowledge Keeper, Cultural Educator, and ceremonial grandmother, will receive an honorary Doctor of Laws from Western University during King's Convocation and address our graduates as part of the morning ceremony.
Through her teachings, classroom visits, and presentations, Liz has generously shared her knowledge, time, and presence with our community, creating space for meaningful conversations about Indigenous knowledge, storytelling, ceremony, colonialism, and the responsibility of listening.
All are welcome to attend Liz Akiwenzie's Honorary Degree Reception, co-sponsored by King's, on June 11 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Wampum Learning Lodge.
King’s is proud to support the next generation of students as they begin their university experience.
King’s recently awarded 14 application-based Entrance Scholarship Awards totalling more than $44,000 to incoming students recognized for their strong academic achievement or demonstrated passion for leadership, social justice, and making a positive impact in their communities.
These scholarships help reduce financial barriers, allowing students to focus on learning, research, campus involvement, and making the most of their university experience.
We are excited to welcome these students to a community where they can grow, thrive, and make the most of their time at King’s.
