The SJFI | CSC will be hosting its annual Christmas Lunch on Tuesday, December 16th, 2025!

At St John we have a beautiful tradition of hosting a Christmas Lunch for the staff and students of St John French Immersion every year at Christmas time. It is a wonderful opportunity where the students and staff of SJFI come together to share a meal together in the spirit of the season, and an opportunity for the parent community of SJFI to share their gratitude to all the amazing teachers and staff at our school in an offer of service.

This year we will again be serving a choice of 2 pasta options; Tomato Sauce Pasta OR Butter & Parmesan Pasta. If you would like to request a Gluten Free Option, please do so on the attached form. There will only be Gluten Free available for those that request it in advance.

The cost per student is $5 and can be paid via School Cash Online. There will also be an option there to pay for another student that may not be able to cover the cost if you are so inclined.

📢 SJFI CSC | Fresh From the Farm Fundraiser 🍎🍏🥔🥕🍠

Hello Everyone,

Once again the Catholic School Council at St John French Immersion is hosting the Fresh From the Farm Fundraiser!

Fresh from the Farm provides a healthy fundraising alternative to schools by selling fresh Ontario-grown fruit and vegetables. Since 2013, over 3,000 schools have raised over $2 million for school initiatives, selling 6 million pounds of Ontario grown produce.

Why Participate?
- Schools keep 40% of their total sales.
- Families enjoy fresh, Ontario-grown fruit and vegetables.
- Fresh from the Farm promotes a healthy school environment while providing an opportunity for students to raise money for school initiatives.
- Provides opportunities for students to learn about agri-food and healthy eating
- Supports Ontario farmers and our local economy

This fundraising has in the past allowed council to support things like the new equipment in the Kindergarten Yard, the River of Dreams Project (that is still underway), as well as purchasing new toys and small equipment for our students to enjoy. Attached you will find 2 pages, the first is a flyer, the second is an order form. The organizers at Fresh From the Farm have changed things up and improved their system this year. They now have a website link for each school which allows orders to be placed directly using a credit card. This link can be sent out to family and friends, posted on your fb or other social media, or any other way you would like to collect orders. There is a spot during the check out process where whomever is placing the order must include the name of the Student getting credit for the sale, as well as the classroom that should get credit for the sale. Please make sure to tell people to fill these in so your student and their class get credit for the sale.

We've also included the old fashioned order form. This is for those that would like to still collect cash orders. Orders can be collected and tracked using the paper form, and then submitted online once you're done selling. These forms are not to be returned to the school and no cash will be accepted by the school. This is just a tool we are sending you to track your cash orders yourself. You will have to submit them online as your own order and distribute them using your record sheet once the orders arrive.

Orders are due by October 17th, 2025, that is a hard deadline from Fresh From the Farm. If you miss it, I can not override it or sneak in an extra. I would suggest getting all of your orders collected and submitted a few days beforehand just in case you run into any issues.

Delivery to the school where our pickup location will be, will be sometime between November 3 and December 4. Yes, I know that is a huge window. I will send out the confirmed delivery date once it is received. They typically give about 10 days notice of delivery. We will need volunteers that day to help with distribution, but I will reach out with those details once we have a date.
