Offering child-sized spaces makes for safe opportunities for play, learning, growth, and fun. Children can explore their environment and stretch their imaginations, all while having the security of being in a space made just for them.

The best part is seeing where that imagination takes them and figuring out how we can help foster it and expand their learning from there.

Did you know that many movie theatres offer baby-friendly environments for people looking to get their movie fix? Cineplex has a Stars & Strollers movie experience at select theatres. They feature soft lighting, reduced volume, and other baby-friendly amenities with new releases introduced weekly.

Landmark also hosts a Park the Stroller event every other Tuesday. To ensure your experience is "baby-friendly," they raise the house lights and lower the volume of the movie. Baby talk and other parenting requirements are encouraged PLUS stroller parking is available and latecomers are welcomed.

Find your hero at the Disney on Ice skating show at Budweiser Gardens. This uplifting show is fun for the whole family, featuring everyone's favourite Disney characters, including Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Moana, Anna and Elsa, Rapunzel, Goofy, Donald Duck, Belle and more.

At Kidorable Child Care Centre, we strive to give the children in our care both. Like mighty trees, we want to see them firmly planted in life, but able to wave in the breeze of change and opportunity. Resiliency is so important and a good start in life takes children a long way in achieving that. Time to fly!

It's been a long week. If you are anything like a lot of us, the last thing you want to do on a Friday night is cook dinner. The good news is you don't have to. Londonlicious starts tonight and there are almost 40 local restaurants participating in this city-wide celebration of locally crafted food.

From January 20th - 30th, 2023, hit up one of the participating restaurants and sample their special price-fix menus created just for Londonlicious. Whether you choose a restaurant appropriate for date night for two or you take the whole family, there is a restaurant to suit every taste.

Reading to children is so important on so many levels. It builds cognitive growth, improves language, stimulates empathy, reduces stress, and encourages connection. That is why we not only offer books and quiet areas for children to look through them, but build in to our daily routines.

Children learn so much in their early years, in part because of their curiousity. Our role as educators is to create opportunities for them to light their spark. How can you help your students learn more this week?

Want to get outside and play this winter? It doesn't matter how much snow Mother Nature offers us, if you head to Boler Mountain. With their state of the art snow making machinery, they have plenty of snow!

Take the family tubing. Try out skiing! Boler Mountain even offers lessons to those in need. And you can find it all on the bus route, on the western edge of London (in Byron).
