World Cleanup Day 2026 is a global event that encourages people to come together and clean their local areas. On this day, communities, schools, businesses, and volunteers help remove litter and keep public spaces clean. It also reminds us to reduce waste, recycle where possible, and take better care of our surroundings. Most importantly, the day shows that small actions can make a real difference

Congratulations to Andrew Moonilal on being named to Wings Magazine’s annual Top 20 Under 40 and for earning a spot on the cover of this year’s special issue.

Andrew was recognized for wearing “many hats” in the aviation industry, including his work as a part-time instructor at Fanshawe College and his M1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineering license alongside his fulltime role as a First Officer with Air Canada Jazz.

Congratulations Andrew on this well-deserved recognition.

Fanshawe's School of Trades & Technology is thrilled to share that two of our aviation students, Davis Ramos (Aerospace Operations Mgmt, Aircraft Structural Repair), and Mohammed Mubeen (Practical Mechanical Engineering, Applied Aerospace Manufacturing, Aircraft Maintenance Technician), were selected to receive IADA Foundation Business Aviation Scholarships.

Mohammed and Davis were among the top performers in an exceptionally competitive field of over 155 applicants from more than 30 verified educational institutions. As there were only eleven scholarship recipients this year, they have demonstrated outstanding academic merit and commitment to the business aviation industry. Congrats as well to Devin York and Tim Anderson, their Program Coordinators.

"This achievement reflects not only their dedication but also the quality of education and mentorship provided by Fanshawe’s Norton Wolf School of Aviation and Aerospace Technology. Fanshawe College School of Information Technology is hosting an in person Industry Event in collaboration with Employment and Student Entrepreneurial Services.

This event offers students the opportunity to connect directly with employers, learn about career and coop opportunities, explore different practice areas, and practice professional communication in a real world setting.

Date: February 5th, 2026, 4pm-6pm
Location: Fanshawe College James Colvin Atrium Room B1046 B Building

Students are encouraged to come prepared by researching participating employers, bringing thoughtful questions, and presenting themselves professionally.

Registration is required and space is limited. Register by Tuesday February 3, 2026 to secure your spot.
