Our team had the opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life and spend some intentional time connecting, reflecting, laughing, and celebrating one another.
At the heart of our retreat was the importance of connection. We took time to slow down and truly be present with one another. We took time to listen, share, and to recognize and celebrate the amazing qualities we see in each other. It was so nice creating space to remind one another of our strengths and the impact we have on each other’s lives.
We were also grateful to have Mike Masse join us to talk about mindfulness. He shared thoughtful strategies to help us manage the stresses we are each carrying and encouraged us to consider how being more mindful and present can positively impact our everyday lives.
Some of our team embraced adventure with zip lining, cold plunging, and glow-in-the-dark kayaking. It was so amazing creating memories, trying new things, and cheering each other on along the way!
Fun and excitement looked different for everyone, and that was part of what made the weekend so meaningful. Some chose to slow down, relax, read a book, or sit together and build a puzzle or play games. Sometimes wellness is about adventure, and sometimes it is simply about having the space to breathe, be still, and enjoy good company.
We shared many wonderful meals together too. We enjoyed preparing and cooking as a group as well as heading out to enjoy a few meals together. There was plenty of conversation, laughter, delicious food, and time together.
Our theme for the weekend was GIRL POWER!
We celebrated the importance of lifting one another up, recognizing each other’s strengths, empowering each other, and celebrating the incredible women who make up our team.
We came away from the weekend feeling grateful We are grateful for the opportunity to pause, grateful for the connections we have built, and most of all, grateful for the people we get to do this work alongside every day.
We often spend our days caring for and supporting others. This weekend was a reminder that we need to care for and support one another, too.
