Today is Canada Day 🍁

Let today be a time for reflection. At TTLT, we have great appreciation for the land and nature we have the privilege of accessing. We also recognize the importance of showing respect for the traditional and contemporary territories of Indigenous Peoples that these lands stand on and for the original and ongoing stewards of these lands.

Take the time today to celebrate but also to educate. You can learn more about Indigenous territories across Canada by visiting https://native-land.ca. To better understand the realities of Canada's history, please visit the Truth & Reconciliation Commission of Canada's website (https://nctr.ca/records/reports/). It offers documentation of a history that Canada previously tried to erase and an opportunity to better understand how to be an improved ally going forward.

Happy Nature Photography Day!

We celebrate nature photography as a wonderful outlet for enjoying and exploring nature! It is not only a rewarding hobby, but also a skill of great value as it allows for the beauty of spending time in nature to be captured and appreciated.

If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about nature photography, check out our upcoming Passport to Nature event, Nature Photography in the Field. Guided by lifelong conservationist and avid photographer, Ric Symmes, participants will explore the wildflowers, meadows, ponds, and woodland trails of Wardsville Woods. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about nature photography and to connect with fellow nature lovers!
