🌎 Meet Adam, one of our Global Learning Ambassadors from Faculty of Social Science at Western University!

He studied abroad in Rotterdam, Netherlands, an experience that helped him develop important life skills and strengthened his academic understanding of his field.

International students, Western International volunteers and global learning participants, if you're coming to campus for Convocation, we'd love to celebrate with you!

Stop by our office on October 21 or 22 between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to say hello. We’ll have a gown, mortarboard and degree frame available for photos, along with a Polaroid camera so you can take home a keepsake.

Reminder: our office will be closed on Monday, October 12, for Thanksgiving. We'll be back and ready to support you on Tuesday, October 13, at 9 a.m.

Advising services will continue as usual during regular office hours throughout the rest of the week. Most of our regular student programming will take a break during Reading Week, including Peer Guide Network drop-ins, Virtual Ask an Advisor and Global Café. Regular programming will resume the following week.

🌎 Meet Sherry, an Ivey Business School HBA student who went on exchange to Norway!

She enjoyed the natural landscapes and unique culture, and built meaningful relationships.

“One of my favourite memories was a gruelling hike in the Lofoten Islands, far into the Arctic Circle. As we reached the summit, the sun emerged from behind the clouds, and we were treated to this absolutely stunning view overlooking Kvalvika Beach.” - Sherry

Meet Akshaya, one of our Peer Guides!

A third-year student from Faculty of Health Sciences - Western University, Akshaya has been working as an International Orientation Assistant this summer. She finds it rewarding to help students navigate uncertainties in university life.

Looking to socialize between study breaks? Join us in the Global Lounge to enjoy conversation with new friends. All students are welcome to come to the Chu Centre this Monday to Wednesday from 4–7 p.m. and use the quiet study space. 💜
