Our co-op students from Fanshawe Gardens were hard at work planting and caring for trees that were recently air-spaded by CLC Tree Services ( ), with valuable support from our technicians, Amadeo Giancola and Malcolm Shute.
Air spading is a specialized technique that uses high-pressure air to safely remove soil from around tree roots, minimizing root damage during relocation. This method was crucial as we prepared trees for their move to make way for the construction of new access points for the Bus Rapid Transit hub at the Oxford Street entrance.
The photos capture the students in action, planting and watering the trees in their new home!🌲
