How our children view earning vs receiving gives us a glimpse of how well they will manage money as adults 🌱
Think about it…I know you think about them differently 👀
Ask them, and find out why their answer maters 👉🏼
🙏 While appreciation is a characteristic we want in our kids, we also want opportunities that create lasting wealth
Effort 🤝🏼 Value
Take any chance you get to teach your kids that money has value. We live in a world of overconsumption. That isn’t going give our children securtity with their money 💰

We recently had the opportunity to teach money skills a group of young girls (ages 7-12) 💰
Our lesson covered understanding needs vs our wants, how peer pressure and advertising affects our spending decisions and how to plan for shopping by understanding impulse purchases, planning with a budget and calculating for sales tax 👀
After our lesson we had them practice the terms and definitions they had learned by playing our Mega Money March-Up Memory Game 🧠
They loved it and went past our allotted time slot to play through it multiple times 😍
Here’s the cards I used that directly related to what our lesson covered:
✅ Needs
✅ Wants
✅ Advertisement
✅ Impulse Purchase
✅ Budget
✅ Sales Tax
The full game has 24 money terms and their definitions to cover but the time spent with these young girls was the perfect opportunity to have them focus on just 6 of them to reinforce what they had learned in 5 minutes per round ⏱️
Add this game to your home education resources or game night for a fun but learning packed experience!

The version of your kids who are full of creativity and imagination, dreaming up a business idea every other day and would charge the neighbours for literally anything if you’d let them? 😅
That version fades gradually. With peer influence, becoming “too cool for that” or not believing in a “kiddie” dream, our kids end up less confident in their entrepreneurial ideas 💭
This summer is the best time to feed their childlike imagination and dreams by teaching them what it means to be an entrepreneur and how to build a business.
We wrote an entrepreneurship chapter specifically for kids 8 to 14 inside our workbook. What a business is, the difference between goods and services, how to price something, how to start planning a real idea 🍋
Avoid boredom in your kids this summer and foster their creativity and confidence!
